Featuring a predominantly new cast and crew, the film features music composed by Jakes Bejoy, cinematography handled by Sujith Sarang and editing done by Sreejith Sarang. Released on 29 December 2016, the film went on to gain positive reviews from film critics as well becoming a sleeper hit and blockbuster. The film was remade in Kannada as Aa Drushya (2019). The film is going to be remade in Hindi with Varun Dhawan in the lead role.

Naragasooran is an unreleased Indian Tamil-language supernatural horror film written and directed by Karthick Naren. It is preceded by two singles—"Kaalathukkum Nee Venum" and "Marakkuma Nenjam"—before the album's release on 31 August 2022 through Think Music. The album, particularly the song "Mallipoo", received positive response from music critics and listeners.

Karumegangal Kalaigindrana is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Thangar Bachan and starring Bharathiraja, Aditi Balan, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Yogi Babu in the lead roles. The music was composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar with cinematography by N. K. Ekambaram and editing by B. Lenin. The film released on 1 September 2023.
Bazooka is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film written and directed by Deeno Dennis in his directorial debut. The film stars Mammootty in the lead role. The film is produced by Dolwin Kuriakose, Jinu V. Abraham, Vikram Mehra and Sidharth Anand Kumar under the banners of Yoodlee Films and Theatre of Dreams.
