Asian Invasion is a three-part mini-series presented by Jonathan Ross which aired on BBC Four in January 2006. Focusing on East Asian cinema, the series looked at some of the most famous films, actors and directors in Japan, Korea and Hong Kong. [1] The series was directed by Rod Edge and written and produced by Jack Barth.
Episode 1 first aired on 10 January 2006. It features interviews with Mamoru Oshii and Ryuhei Kitamura and a brief history of Japanese cinema, as Ross builds up to his primary focus of modern Japanese cinema.
Episode 2 first aired on 17 January 2006. In this instalment Ross meets comedy legend Stephen Chow and director Derek Yee, discusses the career of Michelle Yeoh and hails the illustrious careers of martial arts legends Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee.
Episode 3 first aired on 24 January 2006. Featuring interviews with directors Park Chan-wook and Kim Ki-duk, a look at Korea's burgeoning film industry and also a retrospective with regard to North Korean film making efforts.
Jonathan Stephen Ross is an English broadcaster, film critic, comedian, actor, writer, and producer. He presented the BBC One chat show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross during the 2000s, hosted his own radio show on BBC Radio 2 from 1999 to 2010, and served as film critic and presenter of the Film programme. After leaving the BBC in 2011, Ross began hosting his comedy chat show The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV. Other regular roles have included being a panellist on the comedy sports quiz They Think It's All Over (1999–2005), being a presenter of the British Comedy Awards, and being a judge on the musical competition show The Masked Singer (2020–present) and its spin-off series The Masked Dancer (2021–present).

Resurrection is a 2005 South Korean television series starring Uhm Tae-woong, Han Ji-min, So Yi-hyun, Go Joo-won, Kang Shin-il, Kim Kap-soo, Kim Kyu-chul, Gi Ju-bong, and Lee Jung-gil. The series is about a man who pretends to be his identical twin brother in order to unearth the conspiracy surrounding his father's death and wreak revenge on his murderers. Super Shiro is a 2019 Japanese anime television series directed by Masaaki Yuasa, with Tomohisa Shimoyama serving as chief director, and animated by Science SARU. A spin-off of the popular Crayon Shin-chan franchise, the series focuses on the adventures of Shiro, a seemingly-normal family dog who, when the Earth is threatened, secretly transforms into a canine superhero to protect the planet from nefarious villains. The series, consisting of 48 five-minute episodes, aired in Japan on the TV Asahi-affiliated streaming platforms AbemaTV and Telasa from October 2019 to September 2020, and was subsequently aired on Cartoon Network in Australia, India, and throughout Southeast Asia.
