Asiavision is a non-profit daily news broadcasting by satellite and file transfer by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU). Broadcast by television stations in 34 countries in Asia, it debuted in January 1984 and aims to bring together several prominent broadcasting stations in Asia with its purpose to promote free exchange of news among broadcasters in Asia, in a non-political or commercial manner.

ABU Song Festivals are annual song competitions based on the Eurovision Song Contest. The format consists of two shows, a Radio Song Festival and TV Song Festival, organised by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU).

The ABU Radio Song Festival 2012 was the first edition of the biennial ABU Radio Song Festivals, organised by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU). The festival took place in the KBS Hall, which is located in the South Korean capital of Seoul and coincided with the 49th general assembly of the ABU. The ABU Radio Song Festival attracted twenty-six original entries representing eighteen radio broadcasters from fifteen countries, which competed in a preliminary jury round. The juries selected thirteen entries from twelve radio broadcasters in ten countries to qualify for the final show which was held on 11 October 2012. Fifteen entries were originally selected to participate in the grand final. However, Fiji and Sri Lanka withdrew from the radio competition prior to the final show, and thus only thirteen entries participated in the competition on 11 October 2012.

In 2009, the first edition of Asiavision Television Awards started at Sharjah cricket stadium where Oscar Award winner Resul Pookutty attended as chief guest. The 4th and 5th edition of Television Awards witnessed the presence of Mohanlal and Karisma Kapoor along with the television celebrities of Malayalam television industry. On February 8 2017, the first edition of Asiavision Radio Awards was launched, where leading Malayalam radio stations representatives were honored. Kareena Kapoor was awarded with Icon of India. Radhika Apte won Outstanding Performer Of The Year and Amy Jackson won Excellence in Indian Cinema award. In 2017 the movie awards was held at Sharjah cricket stadium and Deepika Padukone was honored with Global Icon of India and Sanjay Dutt was awarded with Most Popular Actor of The Year.

The Eurovision Asia Song Contest is a proposed Asia-Pacific counterpart of the Eurovision Song Contest. The inaugural contest is, as of August 2019, in development by Australian broadcaster Special Broadcasting Service and production partner Blink TV, in co-operation with the European Broadcasting Union.

Krrish Menon is an Indian film actor who predominantly appears in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam cinema.
