The Association for International and Comparative Studies in Labour and Industrial Relations (ADAPT) [1] [2] is a non-profit organization that conducts and supports academic research in the field of labour and industrial relations.

ADAPT works in collaboration with national and international partners. [3] It was founded in 2000 by Professor Marco Biagi. [4] and is based in Bergamo, Italy. ADAPT is engaged in research in collaboration with a network of national and international partners. [5] ADAPT’s publications by ADAPT University Press are both online and in print: [6] The Journal of Industrial Relations Law (in Italian), [7] Labour Studies Book Series [8] [9] which is published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, [10] working papers, [11] International Bulletin, [12] and E-Journal of International and Comparative Labour Studies (in English and Spanish). Higher Education

ADAPT offers two international PhD programs: The first is PhD in Labour Law at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in collaboration with the “Marco Biagi” Center for International and Comparative Studies and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and the second is PhD in Human Capital Formation and Labour Relations [15] [16] in collaboration with the University of Bergamo. Since their launch in 2007, the two PhD programs have enrolled 248 students and have graduated 138 PhDs. Since 2007, ADAPT has secured for its doctoral candidates 86 private scholarships through its partners [17] and 85 public scholarships granted by the Italian Ministry of Higher Education and Research under an agreement. [18]

Michele Tiraboschi is a Full Professor of Labour Law at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy, and is the author of many publications. He is known for his participation in national debates on Italian labour market reforms and for his research in labour law.

Ralf Rogowski is Professor of Law and Director of the Law and Sociology Programme at the University of Warwick. He obtained his first and second legal state exams in Berlin, a Master of Laws (LLM) degree at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a Phd at the European University Institute in Florence. He has taught at Lancaster University and the Free University in Berlin and was a Research Associate at the Wissenschaftszentrum für Sozialforschung (WZB) in Berlin and a visiting fellow at a number of universities, including the Universities of Konstanz, Maastricht and Wisconsin at Madison. Ernesto Caffo is the founder and President of SOS Il Telefono Azzurro Onlus and Fondazione Child. He is a Chair Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, full-time Director of the Department of Paediatrics for the Hospital of University of Modena, and Director of the 6th edition of the Master Assessment and Intervention in situations of child abuse and pedophilia at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

Franco Zambonelli is a full professor in Computer Science at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy, since 2010.

Maria Luisa Gorno-Tempini is an Italian behavioral neurologist and neuroscientist and a leading expert in frontotemporal dementia. She directs the ALBA Lab of the University of California, San Francisco Memory and Aging Center. She is also the co-director of the UCSF Dyslexia Center.
