Atach Tatuq is a Canadian hip hop group from Montreal, consisting of musicians DJ Naes, Egypto, 1-2 d'Piq, L'Intrus, Virus, Dee, Khyro, R.U., Casco, Arnak and Haikai. The group's music contains lyrics in both English and French. [1]

History

Originally known as Traumaturges, [2] the group was formed in 1998 by Rass, Égypto, L'Intrus, Khyro et DJ Naes, [3] and released its first album, Suce mon index in 2000. The group evolved into Atach Tatuq in 2001 when the remaining musicians joined the collective. [4] In 2002 Atach Tatuq released the album La guerre des Tuqs.

Their album Deluxxx , which contained elements of funk and jazz, [5] won the Félix Award for Hip Hop Album of the Year in 2006. [6] [7]

Muzion were a Canadian rap group formed in 1996. The group is made up of rap artists of Haitian origin who lived in Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension in Montreal, including Dramatik, Imposs and his sister J-Kyll. Imposs went on to a solo career, releasing his debut solo album in 2007, Mon Poing D'Vue.

Raphaël Bérubé, known by his stage name Sir Pathétik, is a Canadian rapper who has released a number of albums and collaborated with many artists, earning several best rapper awards from ADISQ. He started in music 2000 and when he joined the group Chosen One made of Ale Dee and Diapason after departure of Justice J, the group including Sir Pathétik was renamed Mine de rien. He and Ale Dee won the 2nd place of the competition "Hip Hop Forever 2002". After the group split up, Sir Pathétik went solo with a string of albums. He has also collaborated with many artists including Yvon Krevé, 1 Etranjj, l'Queb, Billy Nova, Da Vinci, Striger, Malik Shaheed, Asami and DJ Horg.

Kamenga Mbikay, known as Sans Pression, is a Canadian rapper from Quebec. He is a member of hip hop band Treizième Étage. Sans Pression later became the solo project of SP.

Nomadic Massive

Nomadic Massive is an independent hip-hop supergroup based in Montreal, Quebec, active in the scene since 2004. They have achieved notoriety in Canada, United States, Brazil and France among many international venues. The membership of the band varies depending on song, but their ensemble includes rappers, singers, keyboardists, saxophone, trumpets, trombone, guitarists, bass, and drums. Many of the members are multi-instrumentalists and trade spots on stage. The official members are vocalists Waahli, Taliwah, Meryem Saci, Lou Piensa, as well as musicians Butta Beats and Ali Sepu. With lyrics in diverse languages including English, French, Creole, Spanish and Arabic, Nomadic Massive celebrates global music interpreted through an Afro-Latin twist with hip-hop as the main medium of expression. They have been a staple of the Montreal International Jazz Festival for several years.

Boogat is a Canadian-Mexican musician from Montreal, Quebec, whose style blends hip hop with Latin music styles such as cumbia and reggaeton. He won the Juno Award for World Music Album of the Year for his album Neo-Reconquista at the Juno Awards of 2016 and the ADISQ Awards of 2016.

Koriass Canadian singer

Koriass is the stage name of Emmanuel Dubois, a Canadian rapper from Quebec. He is a two-time winner of the Prix Félix for Best Hip Hop Album, in 2014 for Rue des Saules and in 2016 for Love Suprême, was a shortlisted finalist for the Juno Award for Francophone Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2017 for Love Suprême, and won the Echo Songwriting Prize in the French division in 2012 for his song "St-Eustache".
