The men's T42 100 metres competition of the athletics events at the 2015 Parapan American Games was held on August 11 at the CIBC Athletics Stadium. The defending Parapan American Games champion was Shaquille Vance of the United States of America.^[1]

York Lions Stadium is an outdoor athletics facility on the campus of Toronto's York University. It is home to the York Lions, the athletic teams of York University. The facility was primarily built for the 2015 Pan-American and Parapan American Games, where it hosted track and field events. It also hosted the opening ceremony for the 2015 Parapan American Games. During the games the venue was known as the CIBC Pan Am and Parapan Am Athletics Stadium.

Shaquille Vance is an American T42 Paralympic sprint runner and shot putter. Vance lost his leg in an American football accident in 2009. Two weeks after surgery to repair the damaged leg, no blood was circulating to his foot so his leg was removed. Before losing his leg, he was a linebacker and wide receiver for the Houston Hilltoppers.
