The Atlanta Board of Education is the governing body of Atlanta Public Schools. The board has nine members: six are elected by geographical districts and three are elected citywide. All serve four-year terms. [1]
While the board establishes and approves policies that govern the school system, the day-to-day administration of the school district is the responsibility of the Superintendent, who is appointed by the board. Board members are paid an annual salary of $22,500 ($24,500 for the Chair and $23,500 for the Vice Chair). Compensation increased to $22,500 ($24,500 for the Chair and $23,500 for the Vice Chair) on January 1, 2022. [3]

Long Branch Public Schools is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade in the city of Long Branch, in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The district is one of 31 former Abbott districts statewide that were established pursuant to the decision by the New Jersey Supreme Court in Abbott v. Burke which are now referred to as "SDA Districts" based on the requirement for the state to cover all costs for school building and renovation projects in these districts under the supervision of the New Jersey Schools Development Authority. Spotsylvania County Public Schools is a public school district serving Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Delaine Andree Eastin was an American politician and educator from California. A professor by education, she was the first woman to be elected California State Superintendent of Public Instruction (1995–2003) since the office was first held in January 1851. Eastin represented parts of Alameda County and Santa Clara County in the California State Assembly between 1986 and 1994. She was a member of the Democratic Party.
The Oklahoma State Department of Education is the state education agency of the State of Oklahoma charged with determining the policies and directing the administration and supervision of the public school system of Oklahoma. Herold Christian Hunt was an American educator and government official who served as Superintendent of the Chicago Public Schools and 2nd Under Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare. Hunt was also the Charles W. Eliot Professor of Education at Harvard University, president of the American Association of School Administrators, and chairman of the American Council on Education. He served on the National Board of the Boy Scouts of America, and was awarded the Silver Buffalo in 1963 for his contributions to scouting.
