Atlanta Tech Village is a technology incubator complex located in the Buckhead community of Atlanta, Georgia. [1]

History

Atlanta Tech Village was founded by David Cummings in 2012 [2] as a small business incubator. [3] Within its first year the incubator had 180 tenant companies. [4] [5] [6]

Incubator

The Village is now the fourth largest tech hub in the US, [7] housing about 300 companies in 2018, [8] [9] and partners with larger corporations like Turner, Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Coca-Cola to form relationships between startups and larger establishments. [10] [11] Past companies have included Yik Yak, BitPay, and IO Education. [7] The Village also houses international offshoots from foreign tech companies alongside its American startups. [12] [13] The company has about 1000 entrepreneurs working complex, which are connected to angel investors and funding sources, in addition to business mentors. The Village also has a pre-accelerator program that works with minorities and women in the early stages of their business development. [14]

Space

In addition to its investments, Atlanta Tech Village rents both office space and individual desks to technology companies. [2] The complex is 103,000 square feet in total. [15]

500 Startups U.S. startup accelerator

500 Startups is an early-stage venture fund and seed accelerator founded in 2010 by Dave McClure and Christine Tsai. The fund admitted a first "class" of twelve startups to its incubator office in Mountain View, California in February, 2011. They expanded to a second class of 21 in June 2011 and a third class of 34 in October 2011.

Startup accelerators, also known as seed accelerators, are fixed-term, cohort-based programs, that include mentorship and educational components and culminate in a public pitch event or demo day. 1871 is a non-profit digital startup incubator located in the Merchandise Mart, Chicago, Illinois. The organization was founded in 2012 by J.B. Financial technology is an industry composed of companies that use technology to offer financial services. F10 (incubator)

F10 is a startup incubator and accelerator founded in 2016 focused on Fintech, Insurtech, Regtech and Deeptech. Its incubation and acceleration programs help startups in connecting with entrepreneurs, experts, mentors, and investors for early stage venture and late stage venture investing. The company was founded in Zurich and currently has operating hubs in Zurich, Singapore, Madrid, and Barcelona.

Technology Hub is a bi-national startup accelerator and business incubator in the El Paso–Juárez area on the border of Mexico and the United States. It was founded in 2015 and is a Mexico National Institute for Entrepreneurship-certified incubator that has developed and housed 100 high-growth technology companies.

Dogpatch Labs is a startup hub located in the CHQ building, in the Silicon Docks area of Dublin, supporting the startup ecosystem through incubation and acceleration programmes, educational events and a tech community of over 500 members from 100+ startups. In 2019 it was listed as Crunchbase’s "top 10 incubators around the world you need to know".
