Atomic Aggressor is a band started in the mid-1980s in Chile, a well-known exponent of Chilean death metal. Its early influences were from bands such as Celtic Frost and Trouble.
The beginnings of the band date back to early 1985, but it did not stabilize until 1988, after countless member changes. By then, Enrique Zuniga was on the guitar, Patricio "Patomic" Leiva on drums, Alejandro Diaz on vocals and bass and Jaime Moya on the second guitar. With these members it had its debut on November 26, 1988, in an outdoor show in the center of the city of Santiago de Chile, where it appeared next to Massacre, Darkness, Squad, Nimrod and Anarkía.
The following year the band recorded their first demo, Bloody Ceremonial, which is considered to be one of the best underground works of the country. This production, which sold over a thousand copies, consisted of four sections (Beyond Reality, Bleed In The Altar, Bloody Ceremonial, and The Session) and enhanced the reputation of the band in both the Chilean national scene and internationally. This success opened the doors for them to participate in numerous concerts including Necro Metal, a typical underground concert of that period held at Villa Alemana, Chile, and the concert of Concepción in 1989 where they shared the stage with Death Yell, Cerberus and Hades.
In 1990, they recorded a promo tape with four songs called Rehearsal. After this recording, the drummer, Patricio Leiva, left the band and was replaced initially by Cristian Gonzalez and then definitively by Pablo Clares.
In 1991, after a tour which they undertook with Sadism in northern Chile, they recorded their second demo "Resurrection". However, in 1992, unable to bounce back from losing their drummer and other internal problems, the band separated, playing for the last time on May 9, 1992, in Valparaíso, Chile.
Fifteen years later, in 2007, they got back together with Enrique Zuniga on guitar, Alejandro Diaz on vocals and on bass, Pablo Clares on drums and Julio Borquez on second guitar. With this membership, they recorded "Rise of the old ones".
A major presentation took place in June 2011, when they performed, with great success, at the concert of the American Slayer. Atomic Aggressor are still playing together.
In February 2015 they performed at the "Natales Metal Fest" in Puerto Natales with Exanimatvm a death metal band from Punta Arenas, Attaker Bloody Axe from Valdivia and Blasfematorio from Puerto Montt among other bands. [1] So far, this is the southernmost band presentation.

Aisles is a six-piece progressive rock band originally from Santiago, Chile. The group was formed in 2001 by brothers Germán (guitar) and Luis Vergara (keyboards), and childhood friend Rodrigo Sepúlveda (guitar). Later on, it expanded to include lead singer Sebastián Vergara and Alejandro Meléndez (keyboards). Drummer Felipe Candia and bassist Daniel Baird-Kerr joined the band in 2007 and 2011 respectively.
Avalancha de Éxitos is Café Tacuba's third album. In 1996, two years after their acclaimed Re, the band had amassed enough new music to fill four CDs, but couldn't winnow it down to a single album. So instead, they covered eight songs by other Spanish-speaking artists, who ranged from totally obscure to well-known.

Ceremonial Oath is a Swedish death metal band who formed in 1989 under the name "Desecrator", changed their name to Ceremonial Oath in 1991 and disbanded in 1996. During their short career they released three demos, one EP and two albums. Their influence is greater than their short lifespan suggests: several of the band members would later create or join metal bands that would gain fame and fortune on the future metal scene, such as In Flames, an influential band to the melodic death metal genre; and HammerFall, a band who would greatly influence the awakened interest in power metal and traditional heavy metal.

Poema Arcanus is a Chilean death/doom metal band that was formed in the early 1990s and has six full-length studio albums under their name. The band was originally named Garbage; they later changed their name to Garbage Breed and eventually settled on their current name of Poema Arcanus. Influences of Poema Arcanus include, among others, Autopsy, Candlemass, Fields of the Nephilim, My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Queensrÿche, Solitude Aeturnus, and Voivod. This band has been a live supporting act for bands such as Napalm Death, Moonspell, and Candlemass. They are currently signed to Transcending Obscurity Records.
Nirvana 2002 was a Swedish death metal band active between 1988 and 1991. The band was originally called Prophet 2002, but decided to change its name to Nirvana. However, it had to add the "2002" after seeing an advertisement for Nirvana's debut single, "Love Buzz/Big Cheese", released in October 1988. Nirvana 2002 was notable for being part of the first-wave of the Swedish death metal movement, and according to Swedish Death Metal author Daniel Ekeroth, "one of the purest examples of that typical fat Swedish death metal, with crushing guitars and straightforward song structures, even if they don't made tributes to the songs written by Strangedz guitarist Marco Galligani." Throughout its life the band only released demos and rehearsals, the majority of which were recorded at Sunlight Studios in Stockholm.
