Michael Bryan was an English art historian, art dealer and connoisseur. He was involved in the purchase and resale of the great French Orleans Collection of art, selling it on to a British syndicate, and owned a fashionable art gallery in Savile Row, London. His book, Biographical and Critical Dictionary of Painters and Engravers, first published in 1813–1816, was a standard reference work throughout the 19th century, and was last republished in 1920; however it is now badly outdated.
Louis Auguste Laurent Aiguier, a French marine painter, was born at Toulon in 1819, and died in that town in 1865. There are examples of his work in the Museums of Toulon and Marseille.

Friedrich (Fritz) Bury was a German artist born in Hanau. He studied first under his father Jean Jacques Bury, who was a goldsmith and professor in the Academy of Design in Hanau, and then with Johann Heinrich Wilhelm Tischbein. In 1780 he visited Düsseldorf, and two years later went to Rome; thence to Dresden, and finally settled in Berlin, where he was patronized by the Queen of Prussia. He painted historical pictures and portraits. A 'Cupid triumphant' by him is in the Hague Gallery.
Antoine Chazal was a French painter of flowers and of portraits, as well as an engraver. He studied under Misbach, Bidauld, and Van Spaendonck, and became Professor of Iconography at the Jardin des Plantes. Besides portraits, flowers, and fruit, he painted a few landscapes and altar-pieces for churches. He also engraved a portrait of Cardinal La Fare. Chazal died in Paris in 1854.
Auguste de Creuse, a French portrait painter, who was born at Montrond (Doubs) in 1806, and died in Paris in 1839. He was a pupil of Gros, and painted many of the historical portraits which are at Versailles.

Pierre-Joseph Dedreux-Dorcy was a French genre painter. His surname was Dedreux, but he was usually called Dorcy.
Auguste Delacroix, a French marine painter, was born on 27 January 1809 at Boulogne, and died there in 1868. He produced some elegant sea-pieces taken on the French and North African coasts, and also painted some African genre pictures.
Louis Joseph César Ducornet was a French painter who painted with his foot. He is known primarily for biblical and historical scenes, as well as portraits.
Nicolas-Auguste Galimard was a French historical, portrait and landscape painter.
The Pays des Impressionnistes is a certification mark created by the Syndicat intercommunal à vocations multiples des Coteaux de Seine in 2001 to promote the cultural heritage of this touristic area. Nine municipalities in the Yvelines department of France bordering the loop of the Seine River, where, during the nineteenth century, impressionist painters exercised their art, are associated with this creation: Bougival, Carrières-sur-Seine, Chatou, Croissy-sur-Seine, Le Pecq, Le Port-Marly, Louveciennes, Marly-le-Roi and Noisy-le-Roi. There is the Path of the Impressionists, four hiking trails dotted with reproductions of paintings, reflecting the still remarkable character of this landscape of Impressionist sites which has been proposed for inclusion in the World Heritage Site since 2009. Rueil-Malmaison, in the Hauts-de-Seine department, joined them in 2010, when eight of these municipalities have entrusted development task of the Pays des Impressionnistes to the visitor center of Marly-le-Roi, which organises Impressionist cruises along the banks of the Seine, as well as visits of ateliers of contemporary painters.
