The Australian Industry & Defence Network Inc. (AIDN) is the industry association for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) doing business in the defence and security sectors in Australia and abroad.
Rowan John Tink AM is a former Australian Special Air Service Regiment officer whose identity was widely publicised after he was awarded the United States Bronze Star medal for "his outstanding contribution to the international coalition against terrorism's Operation Enduring Freedom" during his role commanding 150 SASR operators in Afghanistan, notably during Operation Anaconda. The medal was presented to Lieutenant Colonel Tink by Major General Frank Hagenbeck at a farewell ceremony at Bagram on 24 July 2002.
Ashford is a small village situated in the north-west on the Northern Tablelands of the state of New South Wales. The eastern bettong, also known as the southern or Tasmanian bettong, is a small, hopping, rat-like mammal native to grassy forests of southeastern Australia and Tasmania. A member of the rat-kangaroo family (Potoroidae), it is active at night and feeds on fungi and plant roots. Like most marsupials, it carries its young in a pouch. The eastern bettong is under pressure by introduced predators and habitat loss. The subspecies on mainland Australia is extinct, but populations of the Tasmanian subspecies have been reintroduced there.

Magra is a rural residential locality in the local government areas (LGA) of Brighton (7%), Southern Midlands (9%) and Derwent Valley (84%) in the Hobart, Central and South-east LGA regions of Tasmania. The locality is about 26 kilometres (16 mi) west of the town of Brighton. The 2016 census recorded a population of 699 for the state suburb of Magra. It is in the Derwent Valley a few kilometres north of New Norfolk.
Ombudsmen in Australia are independent agencies who assist when a dispute arises between individuals and industry bodies or government agencies. Government ombudsman services are free to the public, like many other ombudsman and dispute resolution services, and are a means of resolving disputes outside of the court systems. Australia has an ombudsman assigned for each state; as well as an ombudsman for the Commonwealth of Australia. As laws differ between states just one process, or policy, cannot be used across the Commonwealth. All government bodies are within the jurisdiction of the ombudsman.
Captain Trevor Jackson is an Australian technical diver, shipwreck researcher, author and inventor. In 2002 he staged what became known as the "Centaur Dive", which subsequently led to the gazetted position of the sunken Hospital Ship AHS Centaur being questioned. Jackson is the inventor of the 'Sea Tiger' lost diver location system, and an author on the subject of wreck diving.

The Australian Army Psychology Corps is the branch of the Australian Army responsible for providing psychological care to Army personnel. Unique at the time in the British Commonwealth, the corps was formed on 22 October 1952, replacing the Australian Army Psychology Service which was formed in 1945.
Security in the South Pacific has proved to be one of the most enduring of Australia's security concerns. It was the subject of Australia's first substantial strategic policy initiative, when in 1888 Alfred Deakin took his concerns about French intrusion into Vanuatu to London. Since then, the South Pacific has played an important role in Australian security thinking. Notably during the Second World War in the Pacific and through Australia's responsibilities as a colonial power in Papua New Guinea until that country's independence in 1975. Australia was regarded as having been quite detached from the Pacific Islands during the post colonial period. However this period, until the beginning of the 21st century, was marked by numerous small scale Australian Defence Force (ADF) operations in the region. The notable cases were in Vanuatu in 1980 and 1988 as well Fiji in 1987. The ADF also played an important role in peacekeeping missions in Bougainville during this period.
