The Austria women's national floorball team is an Austrian national sports team that plays floorball.
At the 1997 Floorball Women's World Championship in Godby and Mariehamn, Åland, Finland, the Austria women's national floorball team finished ninth. [1]
At the 1999 Floorball Women's World Championship in Borlänge, Sweden, the team finished first in the B-Division and elevated to the A-Division. [2]
At the 2001 Floorball Women's World Championship in Riga, Latvia, the team finished eighth in the A-Division and were relegated to the B-Division. [3]
At the 2003 Floorball Women's World Championship in Germany, the team finished seventh in the B-Division. [4]
The team participated in the Qualification to the B-Division for the 2009 Floorball Women's World Championship. The qualifiers were held in Idrija, Slovenia. The team did not advance out of qualifiers. [5] [6]
In January 2025 the team will travel to Latvia for the World Cup qualification, this time ranked fifth in the A-Division. [7]
IFK Mariehamn is a Finnish football club based in Mariehamn, the capital of the Åland Islands. It plays in the Finnish Premier Division (Veikkausliiga), winning their first title in 2016. The club is managed by Bruno Romão, and it plays its home matches at Wiklöf Holding Arena.

The 1997 Women's World Floorball Championships were the first world championship in women's floorball, following the first world championship for men the previous year. The matches of the championship were played in Mariehamn and Godby, Åland, Finland 3–10 May 1997. Sweden won the tournament and became the first world champions in the history of women's floorball.
The 2001 Women's World Floorball Championships was the third world championship in women's floorball. The games were played in Riga, Latvia 20–27 May 2001. Finland ended up as champions, thus they became the first team to win their second title. In the final-game Finland defeated Sweden, 2–0.
