Authentic Records is an independent record label based in Des Moines, Iowa. It was created by the band The Nadas and has signed a number of rock artists, particularly in the Midwest.

The label currently distributes music from The Nadas, Jon Peter Lewis, Josh Davis Band, Towncrier, Benjamin Wagner, Stephanie Walsmith, Bob Hillman, Jerry Chapman, and Jason LeVasseur and Hichamodinamo and Manager Niels and Killer Edy and Sem R and Rich-art.

The Nadas American folk rock band

The Nadas are a folk rock quintet based in Des Moines, Iowa. Formed in 1995 in Ames, Iowa, the band earned early success on the local college scene, eventually becoming the house band for People's Bar and Grill in Ames. Their lineup currently consists of guitarist/vocalist Mike Butterworth, guitarist/vocalist Jason Walsmith, bassist Brian Duffey, drummer Brandon Stone, and violist/keyboardist Jonanne Tucker.

No.6 Records was an independent record label, started in 1989 as a subsidiary of Rough Trade Records by A&R representative and booking agent Terry Tolkin. The name of the label came from the British television series The Prisoner; the main character was known in the series as "Number 6". Their early releases of note include The Bridge: A Tribute to Neil Young, which received a four star review in Rolling Stone, featuring exclusive tracks from highly influential indie and grunge bands Psychic TV, Sonic Youth, The Flaming Lips, Soul Asylum, and The Pixies, and Guitarrorists featuring members of Dinosaur Jr., Babes in Toyland, and Big Black.
