Avatele Bay is a large bay in the southwest coast of Niue. [1] It stretches from Tepa Point in the island's extreme southwest northwards to Halagigie Point, the island's westernmost extremity. Two small settlements, Tamakautoga and Avatele lie close to the shore of the bay.
Año Nuevo State Park is a state park of California, United States, encompassing Año Nuevo Island and Año Nuevo Point, which are known for their pinniped rookeries. Located in San Mateo County, the low, rocky, windswept point juts out into the Pacific Ocean about 55 miles (89 km) south of San Francisco and the Golden Gate. Año Nuevo State Natural Reserve, formerly a separate unit of the California state park system, was merged into Año Nuevo State Park in October 2008. The coastal geographic center, or coastal-midpoint of California is located at the Northern end of this park at N 37°09′58″, W 122°21'40", as the absolute geographic center of California falls at N 37°09′58″, W 119°26′58″W.
Tafea is the southernmost of the six provinces of Vanuatu. The name is an acronym for the five main islands that make up the province: Tanna, Aneityum, Futuna, Erromango and Aniwa.
James Ross Island is a large island off the southeast side and near the northeastern extremity of the Antarctic Peninsula, from which it is separated by Prince Gustav Channel. Rising to 1,630 metres (5,350 ft), it is irregularly shaped and extends 64 km in a north–south direction. It was charted in October 1903 by the Swedish Antarctic Expedition under Otto Nordenskiöld, who named it for Sir James Clark Ross, the leader of a British expedition to this area in 1842 that discovered and roughly charted a number of points along the eastern side of the island. The style, "James" Ross Island is used to avoid confusion with the more widely known Ross Island in McMurdo Sound.
Alofi is the capital of the island nation of Niue. With a population of 597 in 2017, Alofi has the distinction of being the second-smallest capital city of a sovereign state by population. It consists of two villages: Alofi North and Alofi South. They collectively serve as the capital, but of the two, Alofi South hosts more government buildings, as many were moved to the southern part after Cyclone Heta.
The Marquesas Keys form an uninhabited island group about 20 miles (32 km) west of Key West, four miles (6 km) in diameter, and largely covered by mangrove forest. They are an unincorporated area of Monroe County, Florida and belong to the Lower Keys Census County Division. They are protected as part of the Key West National Wildlife Refuge. The Marquesas were used for target practice by the military as recently as 1980.
Jack's Bay is a small settlement in The Catlins, an area on the southeastern corner of the South Island of New Zealand. It is located six kilometres southwest of Owaka, close to the mouth of the Catlins River. A popular holiday spot with a seasonal population, there are numerous cribs at the settlement. Jack's Bay is noted for a large blowhole, known as Jack's Blowhole, a 55-metre-deep blowhole that formed when part of a sea cavern's roof collapsed. The blowhole is 200 metres from the sea.
Herbert Island is an island in the Islands of Four Mountains subgroup of the Aleutian archipelago. It is 3.1 miles (5.0 km) from Chuginadak Island, separated by the Chuginadak Pass. Yunaska Island is 16 miles (26 km) west southwest of Herbert Island. Measuring 6.2 miles (10.0 km) across, Herbert Island is somewhat circular in shape and is covered by the 4,200-foot (1,300 m) Herbert Volcano, whose 2-kilometre (1.2 mi) wide caldera is one of the largest in the Aleutian Islands. Avatele, formerly known as Oneonepata Matavaihala, is one of the fourteen villages of Niue, located on the southwest coast, with a population of 143 residents as of 2017.
Alofi Bay is the northern of the two large bays which make up most of the west coast of the island of Niue, the other being Avatele Bay south of it. It stretches from Makapu Point in the island's northwest to Halagigie Point, the island's westernmost extremity.

Allman Bay is an arm of Nares Strait, in the Qikiqtaaluk Region of Nunavut, Canada. It is located in eastern Ellesmere Island, southwest of the southern edge of the Darling Peninsula. Dobbin Bay is 28 km (17 mi) to the northeast. Cape Prescott is the headland to the west of the entrance.
Ritli Hill is a rocky hill rising to 45 m on the south coast of western Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica. It surmounts Juturna Lake on the west. The area was visited by early 19th century sealers.
Ash Point is a rounded low ice-free point forming the southeast side of the entrance to Discovery Bay in the northeast of Greenwich Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica with an adjacent ice-free area of 201 hectares. Letelier Bank is lying off Ash Point, while Bascopé Point is situated 460 m (503 yd)to the southwest, with the 1 km (0.62 mi) wide Rojas Cove indenting for 310 m (339 yd) the coast between that point and Guesalaga Peninsula. The area was visited by early 19th century sealers.
Labbé Point is a point projecting 600 m (660 yd) into the southwest part of Discovery Bay from Parvomay Neck, Greenwich Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica with an adjacent ice-free area of 11 hectares. The point forms the northwest side of the entrance to Basullo Cove and the east side of the entrance to Vinett Cove. The small Basso Island is linked by a mainly submerged spit to the north side of Labbé Point.
Chapman Rocks is a group of rocks in central Hero Bay on the north side of Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica. The area was visited by early 19th century sealers operating from nearby Blythe Bay.

Macrobius Cove is the 2.8 km wide cove indenting for 3.4 km the west coast of Barison Peninsula, Graham Coast on the Antarctic Peninsula northeast of Eijkman Point and east of Bablon Island. It is part of Leroux Bay. The head of the cove is fed by Chernomen Glacier.
Ralitsa Glacier is the 5.5 km long and 3.5 km wide glacier on Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago, Antarctica, situated south of Oshane Glacier, southwest of Lister Glacier, northwest of the head of Paré Glacier and north of Palilula Glacier. It drains the northwest slopes of Mount Rokitansky in Stribog Mountains, and flows northwestwards into Guyou Bay.
Mihaylovski Cove is the 5 km wide cove indenting for 1.3 km the northwest coast of South Bay in Livingston Island, Antarctica that is entered west of Ereby Point and east of Lukovo Point, and has its head fed by Kamchiya Glacier. The area was known to early 19th century sealers who operated from nearby Johnsons Dock. The feature is named after the brothers Petar Mihaylovski, physician at St. Kliment Ohridski base during the 2007/08 and subsequent seasons, and Hristo Mihaylovski, engineer in the national Antarctic campaign during 2015/16 and subsequent seasons.
