The second major series was produced by Dreamwave Productions from 2002 to 2004 with multiple limited series as well, and within multiple story continuities, until the company became bankrupt in 2005. The third and fourth series have been published by IDW Publishing with the third series starting with an issue #0 in October 2005 and a regular series starting in January 2006 to November 2018. The fourth series started in March 2019 with issue #1 and concluded in June 2022. There are also several limited series being produced by IDW as well. Skybound Entertainment began publishing Transformers comics starting in June 2023, kicking off the Energon Universe. In addition to these four main publishers, there have also been several other smaller publishers with varying degrees of success.

It first appeared on 18 February 1967, and with its 52nd issue on 10 February 1968 it merged with its sister title Terrific. The 89th and final issue of Fantastic appeared on 26 October 1968, after which it was merged into its sister title Smash!.
Terrific was a weekly British comic published by Odhams Press' Power Comics imprint in 1967–1968. Terrific was similar in format to its sister title Fantastic, which had started publication two months earlier. The two titles were quite unlike other British comics of the time, consisting mainly of material reprinted from American Marvel Comics, serving as an introduction to many of Marvel's superhero characters. In this respect, Fantastic and Terrific can be considered precursors of the Marvel UK weeklies such as The Mighty World of Marvel that appeared beginning in 1972.
Power Comics was an imprint of the British comics publisher Odhams Press that was particularly notable for its use of material reprinted from American Marvel Comics. Appearing chiefly during the years 1967 and 1968, the Power Comics line consisted of five weekly titles: Wham!, Smash!, Pow!, Fantastic and Terrific. The first three of these titles were essentially traditional The Beano-style British comics papers, supplemented by a small amount of Marvel and DC Comics material, while Fantastic and Terrific were more magazine-like in style and were dominated by their Marvel superhero content.

Beginning in 1995, the title reprinted Marvel US's range of X-Men comics; three per issue. The comic is produced on higher quality paper than the US originals, and the covers are composed of card, which helps to preserve the comic. Also unlike the US originals, advertisements are kept to a minimum, with most simply promoting the other comics in the Collectors' Edition range or Marvel DVDs or video games. The comics it reprints are generally about two years behind comics in the US. It retails at the price of £3.99.

Fantastic Four Adventures retailed at £2.40 upon its release, but rising in printing costs saw the price rise to £2.50 and then £2.95. It was announced at the end of 2011 that Fantastic Four Adventures would cease publication with its final issue in March 2012 to be replaced by a new CE, Incredible Hulks.
Marvel Heroes Reborn was a British comic book series which was a part of the Marvel UK's 'Collector's Edition' line. It was published by Panini Comics and reprinted Marvel Comics from the United States. The title printed Fantastic Four, Iron Man, the Hulk, and before the series ended Avengers comics. This line began in September 1997, after Panini Comics had successfully published Astonishing Spider-Man, Essential X-Men and Wolverine Unleashed. The series ended in 2000 at #42, due to an "overcrowded market". The comic was initially priced at £1.99 when it was released, but over the years rose to £2.30. A year later Avengers United took its place on the shelves.

The first volume ended in April 2014 after 27 issues, with a second volume beginning the following month. Volume 3 began in August 2016. The series was replaced in 2017.
