The Avon Futures of Atlana [1] was a USTA/Women's Tennis Association affiliated tournament founded in 1977 as the Futures of Atlanta. The event was part of the Pro Futures Circuit then later Avon Futures Circuit. The tournament was held for two more editions in 1979 and 1980 then was discontinued.

World Championship Tennis (WCT) was one the principal organizing bodies of men's professional tennis headquartered at the WCT Lakeway World of Tennis facility, Austin, Texas, United States from 1968 to 1989. It administered the WCT Circuit a world wide tour of associated tennis tournaments that was a rival tour to the ITF Grand Prix Circuit both of which were replaced by the Association of Tennis Professionals ATP Tour in 1990.

The Avon Futures Circuit was a women's professional tennis tour administered by the Women's Tennis Association that was founded in 1976 as the Pro Futures Circuit, and was mainly operated in Canada and the United States. It was initially a subsidiary tour of the Virginia Slims Circuit. In 1979 it became a subsidiary tour of the Avon Championships Circuit. The tour ran alongside the main circuits as a qualifying competition for those tours, and provided a bridge on a promotion or relegation basis. There were between nine and eleven events in any particular season that culminated in an end of season finale called the Avon Futures Championships. The circuit ended in 1982 and was replaced by a smaller Ginny Circuit.
