Ayanda Dube; (born November 13, 1989) is a Swazi model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Swaziland 2011 [1] and will represent her country in the 2012 Miss Universe pageants.

Miss World 2004, the 54th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 4 December 2004 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. The 2004 pageant marks the second straight year that Sanya played host of the pageant. Rosanna Davison of Ireland crowned her successor María Julia Mantilla of Peru. 107 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown marking at that time, the biggest turnout in the pageant's 54-year history. That record was held until Miss World 2008 where 109 nations sent representatives.

Miss World 1981

Miss World 1981, the 31st edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 12 November 1981 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, UK. The winner was Pilín León from Venezuela, the first titleholder from her country since 1955. She was crowned by Miss World 1980, Kimberley Santos of Guam. Another Venezuelan, Irene Sáez, had been crowned Miss Universe 1981 in July, making Venezuela one of the few countries to hold both major international titles in the same year. The Continental Queens of Beauty were awarded for the first time.

Miss World 2008 Beauty pageant edition

Miss World 2008, the 58th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 13 December 2008 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa. Originally, the pageant was going to take place in Kyiv, Ukraine, but because of the ongoing 2008 Russo-Georgian diplomatic crisis in neighbouring South Ossetia, the Miss World Organization decided to move the pageant away from Eastern Europe. 109 contestants from all over the world compete for the crown, the second highest turnout in the 59 years of the pageant. Zhang Zilin of China crowned Ksenia Sukhinova of Russia as the brand new Miss World.

Tiffany Simelane was a beauty queen who represented Swaziland in Miss World 2008 in South Africa. Her reign began on July 26, 2008, and ended 22 days before she died.

Succession to the Swazi throne

In Eswatini, no king can appoint his successor. Instead, an independent special traditional Council called the Liqoqo decides which of the wives shall be "Great Wife" and "Indlovukazi". The son of this "Great Wife" will automatically become the next king.

Miss International 2011, the 51st Miss International pageant, was held on 6 November 2011 at the International Tennis Center in Chengdu, China. Elizabeth Mosquera of Venezuela crowned her successor, Fernanda Cornejo of Ecuador, at the final event.

Miss America 2013

Miss America 2013, the 86th Miss America pageant, was held at the PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada on Saturday, January 12, 2013. It was the last one to take place in Las Vegas. "America's Choice" winner, Alexis Wineman was the pageant's first autistic contestant. The 2013 winner Mallory Hagan was crowned by Miss America 2012 Laura Kaeppeler. Hagan served for only eight months as the pageant moved back to its former broadcast slot in September 2013.

Miss Asia Pacific World is an annual beauty pageant held in South Korea. It has been subject to a number of controversies over rankings, bribes, and breast augmentation surgeries. Unlike Miss America and Miss Earth pageants, Miss University Africa contestants are not required to compete in swimsuits or bikinis. Founded by businessman Taylor Nazzal, the competition has 54 contestants who represent 54 countries in Africa, and the winner of the pageant receives US$50,000 in endorsement deals, a new car and becomes a United Nations Students' Ambassador.

Miss Americas Outstanding Teen 2007

Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2007 was the 2nd Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant held at the Linda Chapin Theater in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida on August 19, 2006. At the conclusion of the event, Meghan Miller of Texas crowned her successor Maria DeSantis of New York. The pageant was hosted by Miss America 2006 Jennifer Berry and N'SYNC singer Joey Fatone.
