Azhar Mahmood Sagar is a British Pakistani cricket coach and former cricketer, who played Tests and ODIs for Pakistan national cricket team. He is currently the bowling coach of the Pakistani national team.

Nargis Fakhri, Prachi Desai and Lara Dutta play crucial supporting roles. The sports action was done by Rob Miller of ReelSports. The film released worldwide on 13 May 2016. The film was a moderate success at the box office as it collected only 56.8 crores gross against the budget of 35 crores. The film also drew critics for its fictionalised interpretation of events.

Ali Khan Tareen and Taimoor Malik of Multan Consortium are the new owners of the team, who won the rights of the team on 20 December 2018 for US$6.2 million, they decided not to change the name of the team. The team is nominally based in Multan, and was formed in 2018 to compete in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).Multan Cricket Stadium is the team's home ground with a capacity of 35,000. In their inaugural season, the team was captained by Shoaib Malik, who is also their current captain Tom Moody and Wasim Akram were appointed as team's head coach and director respectively. Haider Azhar was the GM- Cricket Operations while Nadeem Khan was the team's manager. Ahead of 2019 season, Johan Botha, who was serving as assistant coach of the team in 2018 season was appointed as head coach, replacing Tom Moody, who withdrew from his role due to domestic commitments.

It featured six teams, which was the first expansion of the league since its formation. The group stage took place in the United Arab Emirates, with two playoff matches played in Lahore and the final at the National Stadium, Karachi. The tickets for the final were sold out within fifteen hours.
