Azruddin Intiaz Mohamed (born 1 March 1987) is a Guyanese businessman and politician who is the leader of the We Invest in Nationhood (WIN) political party,which was formed to contest the 2025 general election. The party placed second,leading to it becoming the new primary opposition,with Mohamed expected to become Leader of the Opposition upon the reopening of parliament.
Among his campaign promises was a pledge to donate his presidential salary to charity. [1]
On 11 June 2024,the United States Department of State imposed sanctions on Mohamed and his father,Nazar,for acts of public corruption and the avoidance of more than US$50 million in duty taxes on gold exports. [2] In response to Mohamed's presidential bid –which he lauched in late May 2025 [3] –United States Ambassador Nicole Theriot warned that the US would cut economic ties with a potential Mohamed administration,stating that the US "would have to make sure that we didn't work with him specifically". [4]
Azruddin Mohamed does not hold any formal college or university degrees.
