Lietuvos krepšinio lyga, also known as Betsafe LKL for sponsorship reasons, is the premier professional men's club basketball league in Lithuania. It is composed of 12 teams, and it is a member of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation. The best LKL clubs are also annual participants of the top European-wide basketball competitions, including the top-tier level EuroLeague.
Arūnas Visockas is a retired Lithuanian basketball player for the Lithuanian national basketball team and Žalgiris Kaunas. He was a power forward 200 cm tall and weighed 108 kg. Visockas is currently the assistant coach of the Lithuanian basketball team BC Kaunas Triobet. His former clubs include BC Zalgiris (1985–1996), Atomeromu Paks (1996–2000) and Statyba Jonava (2000–2001).
BC Šilutė is a professional Šilutė, Lithuania basketball club, currently playing in National Basketball League. BC Šilutė was founded in 1990 and currently is the oldest participant in NKL. From 1993 to 1999 seasons, BC Šilutė played in Lithuania super basketball league LKL, their highest achievement in LKL was Bronze medal. During 2004-2005 season, BC Šilutė won LKAL championship.
KK Atletas is a professional basketball club that is based in Kaunas district, Lithuania. Currently the team plays in the National Basketball League, in the past Atletas participated in the LKL and the Baltic League, before dissolving in 2007 and becoming BC Aisčiai-Atletas. In 2009, the team merged with BC Kaunas Triobet and played with the names of Kaunas, Baltai and LSU-Baltai. In 2013 club was renamed again to LSU-Atletas, which was merged with the NKL champions of the same name. Atletas are multiple time LKL finalists, and were once considered to be one of the strongest teams in Lithuania.
BC Sūduva known as Sūduva-Mantinga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in Marijampolė, Lithuania. Sūduva formerly participated in the LKL. On 16 September 2010 Sūduva basketball club was removed from the LKL because of financial problems. The club currently competes in the second-tier NKL. The club was named after Suvalkija, an ethnographic region of Lithuania, of which Marijampolė is considered capital.
Tomas Masiulis is a retired Lithuanian professional basketball player and coach. During his playing career, at a height of 2.05 m tall, he played at the power forward position. During his coaching career, he was the head coach of Žalgiris-2. He is currently the assistant basketball coach for Turkish club Fenerbahçe Beko.
BC Rytas-2 is a professional basketball club based in Vilnius, Lithuania. The team competes in the National Basketball League (NKL), the second division of Lithuanian basketball. Founded in 2003, it is the reserve team of Rytas Vilnius.

In 2006 club name was changed to BC "Naglis-Adakris" because of the club supporters UAB „Adakris“ but in 2011, club name was reverted to BC "Naglis" again, changing its name to "Palanga" in 2012. For the 2014–2015 season the team moved to Vilnius and became BC Vilnius, after that one season in the capital, they moved to Panevėžys to become the reserve team of BC Lietkabelis.
