"Zombie" is a protest song by Irish alternative rock band The Cranberries, written by the band's lead singer, Dolores O'Riordan, in response to and in memory of two young victims of a bombing in Warrington, England, that occurred during the Troubles in Northern Ireland. Police Squad! is an American television crime comedy series that was broadcast on the ABC network in 1982.
