Badesalz (literally "bath salt") is a comedy duo from the German state of Hesse, founded in 1982 by Hendrik "Henni" Nachtsheim (* 15 March 1957 in Wuppertal, (Germany)) and Gerd Knebel as "Badesalz Theater." They speak in Hessian dialect during their performances and sketches.
Nachtsheim was the saxophonist of the rock band Rodgau Monotones, Knebel a singer at Flatsch. They had several shows on German TV ('Och Joh' (ARD), Comedy-Stories (Sat.1), 'Badesalz' Comedy Central).
Their work includes numerous albums, several films, and a book.

Erich Loest was a German writer born in Mittweida, Saxony. He also wrote under the pseudonyms Hans Walldorf, Bernd Diksen and Waldemar Naß.
Gottfried John was a German stage, screen, and voice actor. A long-time collaborator of Rainer Werner Fassbinder, John appeared in nine of the filmmaker's projects between 1975 and 1981, the year before Fassbinder's death, including Eight Hours Don't Make a Day, Mother Küsters Goes to Heaven, Despair, The Marriage of Maria Braun, and Berlin Alexanderplatz. His distinctive, gaunt appearance saw him frequently cast as villains, and he is best known to audiences for his role as the corrupt General Arkady Ourumov in the 1995 James Bond film GoldenEye, and for his comedic turn as Julius Caesar in Asterix & Obelix Take On Caesar, the latter for which he won the Bavarian Film Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Ralf König is one of the best known and most commercially successful German comic book creators. His books have been translated into many languages. He has resided in Soest, Dortmund and Berlin and now lives in Cologne.

Deutscher Science Fiction Preis is a German literary award. Together with the Kurd-Laßwitz-Preis, it is one of the most prestigious awards for German science fiction literature. The award was established in 1985 by the Science Fiction Club Deutschland, a German Science Fiction society. Each year, the award is given to the best German science fiction short story and the best German novel from the previous year.
