The European Olympic Committees is an organisation based in Rome, Italy, consisting of 50 National Olympic Committees from the continent of Europe. Among other duties, the EOC organizes three major multi-sport events. These are the European Youth Olympic Festival, the Games of the Small States of Europe and the European Games.
Baseball was one of the many sports which was held at the 2006 Asian Games in Al-Rayyan, Qatar beginning on November 29, 2006. Six East and Southeast Asian nations participated in the tournament. Chinese Taipei won its first ever baseball gold medal in the Asian Games when they mounted a ninth inning comeback against Japan in the final game of round robin play. All games in the baseball competition were held at the Al-Rayyan Sports Club.
Rugby sevens was contested by nine teams at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar on December 10 and 11. All games played at the Grand Hamad Stadium.
Esports at the 2007 Asian Indoor Games was held in Macau East Asian Games Dome, Macau, China from 27 October to 30 October 2007. Three events FIFA 07, NBA Live 07 and Need for Speed: Most Wanted were held in the competition.
The Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games is a pancontinental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. It is organised by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and consists of Indoor and martial arts events with TV broadcasting potential, some of which were not contested at the Asian Games and Asian Winter Games Programs and are not Olympic sports.
Pakistan participated in the 2010 Asian Games held in Guangzhou, China on 12–27 November 2010. These games provided a field hockey (men) gold after 20 years at the Asian Games, the country's eighth overall, and also its first major title since winning the 1994 World Cup in Sydney, Australia. It also saw Pakistan become gold medallist in the inaugural events of cricket (women) and squash. Pakistan had won the inaugural squash singles (men's) event at the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand.
Thailand participated in the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China between 12–27 November 2010. The National Olympic Committee of Thailand sent 593 athletes to Guangzhou, and competed in 39 out of 42 sports. Thailand ended the games at 52 overall medals including 11 gold medals. These games witnessed first ever gold medals in Taekwondo.
The badminton women's team tournament at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha took place from 30 November to 5 December at Aspire Hall 3.
Indoor Kabaddi for the 2013 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games was held at the Ansan Sangnoksu Gymnasium. It took place from 29 June to 3 July 2013. Women's indoor kabaddi teams made their debut in these Games, as only the men's teams were allowed to compete for medals at both Macau 2007 and Hanoi 2009 previously.
3x3 basketball at the 2013 Asian Youth Games was contested by 18 teams in the boys' tournament and 9 teams in the girls' tournament. All games were held at Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. The competition was held using the FIBA 33 ruleset developed by the sport's worldwide governing body, FIBA.
Beach volleyball competition at the 2014 Asian Beach Games was held in Phuket, Thailand from 16 to 23 November 2014 at Karon Beach, Phuket.
Volleyball at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games was held at the OCBC Arena Hall 3, in Kallang, Singapore from 10 to 16 June 2015.
Singapore hosted the 2015 Southeast Asian Games from 5 to 16 June 2015.
The Iran Men's National Volleyball Team is the official national men's volleyball team of Iran. It is governed by the Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (I.R.I.V.F.) and takes part in international volleyball competitions.
The football tournament at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games was in Kuala Lumpur. In addition matches were played in Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam and Selayang.
World Nomad Games are an international sport competition dedicated to ethnic sports practiced in Central Asia. The first three World Nomad Games were held in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan. The fourth games were held in Iznik, Turkey between September 29th and October 2nd 2022. More than 3000 athletes from 102 countries participated in the events.
Iran competed in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia from 18 August to 2 September 2018. Iran has competed at the Asian Games since the first event in 1951 Delhi, and the best achievement was in 1974, when the country hosted the event in Tehran, by ranked second with the acquisition of 36 gold, 28 silver and 17 bronze medals. At the latest edition in Incheon, the country wrapped up its campaign with 57 medals in all - 21 gold, 18 silver and 18 bronze.
Pakistan competed at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, from 18 August to 2 September 2018. According to the secretary general of Pakistan Olympic Association, around 397 Pakistani athletes participated in the Games.
Malaysia participated in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia from 18 August to 2 September 2018. At the last edition in Incheon, the country placed 14 in the medals tally, with 5 gold medals from squash, sailing, and karate. In 2018 edition, Malaysia was represented by 447 athletes and 140 officials at the Games. Abdul Azim Mohamad Zabidi, the Appeals Committee chairman of the Olympic Council of Malaysia was the chief of the delegation.
