The Bolivarian Games are a regional multi-sport event held in honor of Simón Bolívar, and organized by the Bolivarian Sports Organization. The event is open to athletes from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela. In 2010, the ODEBO decided to include Chile as the seventh member of ODEBO. Except Panama, all other participating countries are Andean states.
Football at the Bolivarian Games has been played since 1938. The first edition was the only one in which full national teams played for all countries. The tournament is organisedc by Organización Deportiva Bolivariana.
The Colombia national under-17 football team represents Colombia in international under-17 football competitions and is overseen by the Colombian Football Federation.

Martín Alonso del Valle Salinas is a Peruvian badminton player. He competed at the 2011 and 2015 Pan Am Games. In 2008, he won the bronze medal at the Pan Am Badminton Championships in the men's doubles event partnered with Antonio de Vinatea, and in 2009, he and Vinatea won the silver medal. In 2013, he won the gold medal in the mixed team event and a silver medal in the men's doubles event at the Bolivarian Games.

It is controlled by the Venezuelan Badminton Association, the governing body for Venezuelan badminton. The Venezuelan junior team have competed in the BWF World Junior Championships mixed team event, which is also called the Suhandinata Cup.

The Bolivian national team is controlled by Federación Boliviana de Bádminton, also known as the Bolivian Badminton Federation located in Sucre. The team competes under the Badminton Pan America confederation.
