Bagher Ardeshir Larijani (born May 1961) is an eminent Iranian medical practitioner (Professor of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology) at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. [1] He was Director of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Institute (EMRI) [2]
Larijani holds key editorial and review responsibilities in several prestigious Persian and English Medical Journals.
Larijani was the Chancellor of Tehran University of Medical Sciences from 2005 until 2013 when he resigned.
Ali Ardeshir Larijani is an Iranian moderate politician, philosopher and former military officer in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, who served as the Speaker of the Parliament of Iran from 2008 to 2020. He has been a member of the Expediency Discernment Council since 2020, having previously served from 1997 to 2008. Larijani is a candidate for president of Iran in the 2024 presidential election. He previously ran in 2005, but was disqualified from running in 2021.

Narayana Panicker Kochupillai, popularly known as N. P. Kochupillai, is an Indian clinical endocrinologist, Professor Emeritus of the National Academy of Medical Sciences and a former head of the department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, known to have contributed to the understanding of endemically prevalent endocrine and metabolic disorders.
