Bakerton is an unincorporated community in Clay County, Tennessee, in the United States. [1]

History

A post office was established at Bakerton in 1904, and it closed in 1907. [2] John Baker served as postmaster there, and likely gave the community its name. [3]

Baptist Ridge is approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) south of downtown Celina. The community largely consists of a cluster of homes and two churches nested in the mountains, almost entirely centered along State Route 292.
