The FINA World Championships or World Aquatics Championships are the World Championships for aquatics sports: swimming, diving, high diving, open water swimming, artistic swimming, and water polo. They are run by FINA, and all swimming events are contested in a long course (50-metre) pool.
The 17th FINA World Championships were held in Budapest, Hungary from 14 to 30 July 2017.
The 2019 World Aquatics Championships were the 18th FINA World Aquatics Championships, held in Gwangju, South Korea from 12 to 28 July 2019. The city had previously hosted the 2015 Summer Universiade aquatics events in the same venues.
The 2022 World Aquatics Championships — 19th FINA World Aquatics Championships will be held in Fukuoka, Japan in 2022. It will be the second time Fukuoka hosts this meet, 21 years after the 2001 World Aquatics Championships. The Championships were originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but when the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic the dates clashed, so the Championships dates were changed. The new dates are May 13–29, 2022.
Oussama Sahnoune is an Algerian swimmer who competes in the freestyle events. He competed in the men's 50 metre and men's 100 metre freestyle events at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Open water swimming at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships was held from 15 to 21 July 2017 in Lake Balaton, Hungary.
Mallory Comerford is an American competition swimmer specialized in the freestyle event. She currently represents the Cali Condors which is part of the International Swimming League. Comerford is the winner of five relay gold medals at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships.
Simona Quadarella is an Italian swimmer. She specializes in long distance freestyle events, and at the 2019 World Championships in Gwangju, won a gold medal in the 1500 m freestyle, and a silver medal in the 800 m freestyle.
Kalia Antoniou is a Cypriot swimmer. She competed in the women's 50 metre backstroke event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships.
Jack Cartwright is an Australian swimmer. He competed in the men's 100 metre freestyle event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships.

In both events he did not compete.
Zane Waddell is a South African swimmer. He competed in the men's 100 metre freestyle event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. Waddell won Gold in the 50 metres backstroke event at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships.
Sam Perry is a New Zealand swimmer. He competed in the men's 100 metre freestyle event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships.
Wang Yu-lian is a Taiwanese swimmer. He competed in the men's 100 metre freestyle event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. In 2019, he represented Chinese Taipei at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships held in Gwangju, South Korea.
Peter Wetzlar is a Zimbabwean swimmer. He competed in the men's 100 metre freestyle event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships.
Jeanne Boutbien is a Senegalese swimmer. She competed in the women's 100 metre freestyle event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships.

Jeremy Bagshaw is a Canadian swimmer. He competed in the men's 400 metre freestyle event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships placing 16th.
