The festival is celebrated for 2–4 days. [1] The organizers attempt to bring the cultural associations from every part of the district together as this festival aim to popularize the traditional culture, songs, dances and musics. Several tribal and non-tribal communities showcase their rich heritage in this festival.

In addition, various rural communities sell their products viz. handicraft, paddy-craft, hand loom, earthen designs and food items in the festival markets. [2] Such markets provide ample opportunities for the exchange of art and culture.

Time to time the organizers also felicitate young and famous talents from different places. [3] Such festivals are also organized in different districts of Odisha. There was a demand to rename the festival as Kosal Tihar [4]

Chandan Tiwari is an Indian folk singer from Bihar. She is known as folk singer and sings in Bhojpuri, Magahi, Maithili, Nagpuri, Awadhi and Hindi. She was awarded Sangeet Natak Academy-Bismillah Khan Samman. She honoured by Bhojpuri Kokila in Kolkata. BAG Films-News 24 awarded her best traditional folk singer. Kalahandi Utsav An annual Festival-cum-Exhibition

Kalahandi Utsav(Odia: କଳାହାଣ୍ଡି ଉତ୍ସବ) also called "Kalahandi Utsav Ghumara" is an annual exhibition or festival celebrated along with district administration in Bhawanipatna and Dharamgarh of Kalahandi District in the Indian state of Odisha. Kalahandi Utsav is a platform to encourage, motivate and showcase the art, culture, music, drama, literature, handy crafts of Odisha globally.

Chausath Yogini Temple of Ranipur Jharial is situated at a twin village Ranipur Jharial in Bangomunda Block in the Titlagarh subdivision of Bolangir District, Odisha, India. The village is 104 km away from Balangir town to the south west. Nearest Railway Station to Ranipur Jharial is Titlagarh. The twin village of Balangir district has some rare temples and Monuments..
