The Balochistan Coastal Development Authority (BCDA) is dedicated to fostering the growth and financial well-being of the coastal region in Balochistan. Its primary objective is to execute a range of development initiatives along the coastal areas of Balochistan, with the aim of enhancing economic activities, generating employment for the local population, and boosting tourism. History

The BCDA was created through a law called the Balochistan Coastal Development Authority Act, 1998. This law, which was passed on 12 February 1998, was made to establish an authority responsible for planning, developing, preserving, monitoring, constructing, operating, managing, and maintaining the coastal areas in Balochistan. [3]

It is about 120 km (75 mi) southwest of Turbat, while the sister port city of Chabahar in Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province is about 170 km (110 mi) to the west of Gwadar. On 2 April 2021, Gwadar was declared the capital of the South Balochistan region.

Tourism in Balochistan is a developing industry, and is overseen by the Tourism Directorate under the Government of Balochistan. Balochistan is known for its long coastal belt which extends from Karachi through Sonmiani, Ormara, Kalmat, Pasni, Gwadar, Jiwani and all the way up to Iran. It is also popular for its hill tops and rugged mountainous terrain.

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority is a government-owned and controlled corporation under the Office of the President of the Philippines. It is a government instrumentality vested with corporate powers under Republic Act 7227, signed into law by former President Corazon C. Aquino on March 13, 1992. The BCDA Charter was as amended by RA 7917 in 1995, and further amended by RA 9400 in 2007. The corporation is mandated to transform former US military bases into alternative productive civilian use.
