Bamilo was an E-commerce marketplace start-up in Iran [1]

It was founded by Ramtin Monazahian, [2] a German-Iranian with degrees in business and economics and previous work experience in consulting and investment banking companies. [3]

Bamilo was the first and largest venture of the Iran Internet Group (IIG), backed by MTN Group. Other IIG ventures include Snapp, Snappfood, Snapptrip, and Zoodroom. [4] [5]

Bamilo localized Black Friday as "Harajome", and set up the country's largest online shopping campaign, challenging the monopoly that was prevalent before its market entry. [4]

The term was coined by Ellen Davis of the National Retail Federation and Scott Silverman, and made its debut on November 28, 2005, in a Shop.org press release entitled "'Cyber Monday' Quickly Becoming One of the Biggest Online Shopping Days of the Year". Cyber Monday takes place the Monday after Thanksgiving, and most often falls in November, but if Thanksgiving is on November 27 or 28, it will fall in December. Group buying, also known as collective buying, offers products and services at significantly reduced prices on the condition that a minimum number of buyers would make the purchase. Origins of group buying can be traced to China, where it is known as Tuán Gòu, or team buying.

Jumia is an online marketplace in Africa for electronics, and fashion among others.The company is also a logistics service, which enables the shipment and delivery of packages from sellers to consumers, and a payment service, which facilitates transactions among participants active and Jumia's platform in selected markets. It has partnered with more than 50,000 local African companies and individuals and is a direct competitor to zuwanu.com in Senegal and Konga in Nigeria. Started in 2012 in Lagos, the company currently has a presence across more than 10 African countries.

1979 Revolution: Black Friday is an adventure interactive drama video game developed and published by iNK Studios, with assistance from by N-Fusion Interactive. It was released in April 2016 for Microsoft Windows and macOS, in June 2016 for iOS devices, and in December 2016 for Android devices; the game was released in July 2018 for PlayStation 4, and August 2018 for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. Players control Reza Shirazi, an aspiring photojournalist, who returns to Iran amidst the Iranian Revolution. As he becomes more involved in the events of the Revolution, Reza is forced to make decisions in order to survive. Players make timed responses throughout the game, determining the outcome of the plot. They are tasked with taking in-game photographs of their surroundings, and given historical background of the events.
