Bandhavyalu is a 1968 Telugu film produced and directed by S. V. Ranga Rao. The film is a remake of the Tamil movie Kan Kanda Deivam and also launched the Telugu foray for the South female superstar, Lakshmi. [1]

Plot

Ranga Rao is the landlord in a village. He lives with his brother Dhulipala. Savithri, wife of Dhulipala, takes care of the daily chores very well. They have three sons, who study in town.

It is the story of the relations and bonding between family members. Ranga Rao's family and Rajnal's family are neighbors. Ranga Rao has a brother. His brother and his wife are very kind at heart and their family is a very organized family, but Rajnal's brother Suryam (Chandra Mohan) is very angry with his brother and doesn't support him in anything. The film shows differences in bonding between a healthy related family and a weakly related family.

Thodi Kodallu (transl. Sisters-in-law) is a 1957 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed and edited by Adurthi Subba Rao who co-wrote the script with D. Madhusudhana Rao and Acharya Aatreya. Madhusudhana Rao produced the film under Annapurna Pictures. It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Savitri with music composed by Master Venu. The film is based on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's Bengali novel Nishkriti, and was simultaneously made as the Tamil film Engal Veettu Mahalakshmi (1957); both films were made simultaneously by the same banner and director, and some of the scenes and artists are the same in both versions. Thodi Kodallu won the Certificate of merit for Best Feature Film in Telugu.

Seetamalakshmi is a 1978 Indian Telugu-language film written and directed by K. Viswanath. The film stars Talluri Rameswari and Chandra Mohan. It was released on 27 July 1978. It won two state Nandi Awards and a Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Telugu for Talluri Rameswari. Seetamalakshmi was remade in Tamil as Enippadigal (1979), and in Hindi as Sitara (1980).
