Bank of America Tower (until 2017: D. R. Horton Tower [2] ) is a building in Fort Worth, Texas. At 547 feet (167 meters), it is the second tallest building in Fort Worth. It has 38 floors. It was completed in 1984. It is surrounded by Calhoun Street, East 2nd Street, Commerce Street, and East 3rd Street. It is the taller of the two towers in the City Center Towers Complex. The two buildings are similar in that they resemble pinwheels, but they are not true twins. The building was formerly the headquarters of D. R. Horton, a home construction company, and it is now primarily occupied by Bank of America. [3]
John Calvin Portman Jr. was an American neofuturistic architect and real estate developer widely known for popularizing hotels and office buildings with multi-storied interior atria. Portman also had a particularly large impact on the cityscape of his hometown of Atlanta, with the Peachtree Center complex serving as downtown's business and tourism anchor from the 1970s onward. The tower was the second building in Austin to surpass the Texas State Capitol in height, after the Chase Bank Tower. The Bank of America Center was the tallest building in Austin for 9 years from 1975 to 1984, surpassing the Chase Bank Tower but falling short of the One American Center. The building's facade was built with leftover material from Pennzoil Place in Houston.
The Landmark Tower was a 30-story skyscraper located at 200 West 7th Street in Downtown Fort Worth, Texas. Designed by Fort Worth architecture firm Preston M. Geren & Associates, Landmark Tower was the tallest building in the city from its opening in 1957 until the completion of the Fort Worth National Bank Tower in 1974. After being abandoned in 1990, the tower stood vacant for more than 15 years until it was demolished in 2006. It is one of the tallest buildings ever to be demolished.

The building is located on a 1.8 acres (0.73 ha) lot, is 10 stories high, contains 90,000 square feet (8,400 m2) of office space, and stands at a height of 112 feet (34 m).
