Barbara Gourdet (born 29 December 1965 at Saintes) is a former French athlete, who specialized in the 800 meters.
She won three French National 800m championships in 1987, 1988 and 1993.

Maria de Lurdes Mutola is a retired female track and field athlete from Mozambique who specialised in the 800 metres running event. She is only the fourth athlete to compete at six Olympic Games. She is a three-time world champion in this event and a one-time Olympic champion.

She also finished second at the 1989 UK Championships and 1994 AAA Championships. Her 800m best of 2:01.87 was set in June 1988. Her twin sister, Simone Laidlow, is also a former international athlete.
