Barbara D. Lampert (born April 25, 1946) is an American perennial candidate from the state of Washington. Lampert, a former nurse's aide from Spokane, has been elected a Democratic Party precinct committee officer [1] but has not had success achieving higher office, despite running for a variety of positions 15 times from 1996 through 2011. [2] [3] Lampert received a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Washington. [4] She has said she intends to run for office until she wins, or until she reaches the age of 70 years. [5]
Cathy Anne McMorris Rodgers is an American politician who is the U.S. representative for Washington's 5th congressional district, which encompasses the eastern third of the state and includes Spokane, the state's second-largest city. A Republican, McMorris Rodgers previously served in the Washington House of Representatives. From 2013 to 2019, she chaired the House Republican Conference. Since 2023, she has chaired the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

A member of the Democratic Party, Brown has served in both houses of the Washington State Legislature, including eight years as the first Democratic female majority leader of the Washington State Senate. She has also served as the chancellor of Washington State University Spokane, a position she stepped down from in order to mount an unsuccessful campaign for the U.S. House.
Otto Zehm was a man with a developmental disability from Spokane, Washington, who died on March 20, 2006, during an altercation with police officer Karl F. Thompson Jr. Zehm committed no crime, and on May 30, 2006, the Spokane County Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide. In 2012, the first of several officers on the scene at Zehm's death was convicted of excessive use of force and lying to investigators, and was sentenced to 51 months imprisonment.
