Barbara Okereke-Ndugbu (born c.1990) is a Nigerian cake designer and entrepreneur, founder and managing director of Oven Secret Bakery. In 2019 she was listed on the Forbes'30 under-30'. She is said to be one of the fast rising entrepreneurs to watch out for in Africa. [1]

Life

Barbara Okereke has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Anambra State University, and an MBA in Oil and Gas Management from Coventry University. She learnt cake design at Fair Cake culinary school in Greenwich, London. [2] [3] In 2015 Okereke started her own cake baking business in Port Harcourt, but move to the city of Lagos in 2016. [4] She has created over a thousand cake designs, and trained over has five hundred students physically and online. [2]

Forbes included Okereke, then aged 28, on their 2019 list of thirty under-30 people to watch in Africa. [5] In 2020 The Guardian included her on their list of 100 most inspiring women in Nigeria. [6]

Forbes 30 Under 30 is a set of lists of people under 30 years old issued annually by Forbes magazine and some of its regional editions. The American lists recognize 600 business and industry figures, with 30 selected in twenty industries each. Asia and Europe also each have ten categories for a total of 300 each, while Africa has a single list of 30 people. Forbes hosts associated conferences and a section of its website called 30 Under 30.

Ruth Obih is the founder and CEO of 3Invest, a real estate investment company in Nigeria.

Obinwanne Okeke also known as Invictus Obi is a Nigerian entrepreneur and convicted fraudster who is currently serving a ten-year prison sentence in the United States for internet fraud that caused $11M losses to his victims. After initially pleading guilty, on February 16, 2021, Okeke was sentenced to ten years in prison. Until his arrest by the Federal Bureau of Investigation following a 13-month investigation, Okeke was a globally-renowned businessman who had investments in oil and gas, agriculture, private equity, alternative energy, telecom and real estate. He operated his holdings under the 'Invictus Group'. Invictus Group operated in three African countries including Nigeria, South Africa, and Zambia.
