Bartosz Beda is a Polish contemporary artist living and working in the United States. [1] [2]

Work

Beda has been showing nationally and internationally. He has participated in many group shows in Poland, Germany, Spain, United States, United Kingdom and Colombia. [3] He had his solo exhibitions in Poland, United Kingdom, Spain and Colombia and forthcoming in United States. [4] [5] He is also a founder of Execute Magazine. [6]

Beda was selected for the 2012 Catlin Art Guide as one of the promising emerging artists in the UK. [7] In 2012, Beda was short-listed for Saatchi New Sensations, and won the esteemed Towry Award for the Best of North of England [8] as well as a six-month scholarship to Dresden Academy of Fine Arts. [9]

Beda had solo exhibitions at Galeria Liebre, Spain (2013), BAC Gallery, Colombia (2015), Jackson-Teed, England (2016), and received a fellowship from Fondazione per l'Arte in Rome, Italy in 2016. [10]

Education

Bartosz Beda relocated to Manchester, England in 2008. [11] After graduating with a MA in Fine Art in 2012 from Manchester Metropolitan University, [12] he was awarded a six-month scholarship to the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts. [3]

Bernardo Bellotto, was an Italian urban landscape painter or vedutista, and printmaker in etching famous for his vedute of European cities – Dresden, Vienna, Turin, and Warsaw. He was the student and nephew of the renowned Giovanni Antonio Canal Canaletto and sometimes used the latter's illustrious name, signing himself as Bernardo Canaletto. In Germany and Poland, Bellotto called himself by his uncle's name, Canaletto. This caused some confusion, however Bellotto’s work is more sombre in color than Canaletto's and his depiction of clouds and shadows brings him closer to Dutch painting.

Mary Leonora Carrington was a British-born Mexican artist, surrealist painter, and novelist. Mark Manders is a Dutch artist, currently living and working in Ronse, Belgium. His work consists mainly of installations, drawings and sculptures. He is probably best known for his large bronze figures that look like rough-hewn, wet or peeling clay. Typical of his work is also the arrangement of random objects, such as tables, chairs, light bulbs, blankets and dead animals.

Luis Camnitzer is a German-born Uruguayan artist, curator, art critic, and academic who was at the forefront of 1960s Conceptual Art. Camnitzer works primarily in sculpture, printmaking, and installation, exploring topics such as repression, institutional critique, and social justice. For over five decades, his practice has explored the psychological and political dimensions of language.

Allan Sekula was an American photographer, writer, filmmaker, theorist and critic. From 1985 until his death in 2013, he taught at California Institute of the Arts. His work frequently focused on large economic systems, or "the imaginary and material geographies of the advanced capitalist world."

Paul Morrison is a British artist. He was born in Liverpool and received a BA in fine art from Sheffield City Polytechnic. He is the creator of legendary downtown Manhattan cable television program The Live! Show (1979–1984). Billed as "the variety show of the avant-garde", The Live! Show was an eclectic half-hour of live, interactive artistic entertainment inspired by the Dada performance club Cabaret Voltaire and the anarchic humor of American television comedian Ernie Kovacs.
