Basil Flynn (born 6 December 1955) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong in the Victorian Football League (VFL). [1]

Flynn was 27 when he made his first appearances for Geelong, late in the 1983 VFL season. [2] He played in rounds 17 to 19, then lost his place in the team when Peter Featherby returned from injury. [2] [3] His three other league games came in 1984. [2] He won a Mathieson Medal in 1985 while playing for Newtown & Chilwell. [4] His contributions in Newtown & Chilwell's 1985 and 1986 Geelong Football League premiership winning teams saw him named "Best player" in both grand finals. [5] He was captain for the 1986 premiership. [4]

Mark "Bomber" Thompson is a retired Australian rules footballer and former senior coach. He played 202 games for the Essendon Football Club from 1983 to 1996, captaining the side from 1992 until 1995. Lily Mithen Australian rules footballer

Lily Mithen is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Melbourne Football Club in the AFL Women's competition. She was drafted by Melbourne with their tenth selection and seventy-third overall in the 2016 AFL Women's draft. She made her debut in the fifteen point loss to Brisbane at Casey Fields in the opening round of the 2017 season. After the nineteen point win against Collingwood at Ikon Park in round two—in which she recorded fourteen disposals, three marks and two tackles—she was the round nominee for the AFLW Rising Star. She played every match in her debut season to finish with seven games. She also won Geelong's 2017 best and fairest award in the club's VFL Women's team.
