A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. The 2017–18 Brose Bamberg season was the 63rd season of the German professional basketball club based in Bamberg. The team will play in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). Because of its championship in the previous BBL season, Bamberg would play in its third consecutive EuroLeague season.

The 2019–20 season is Bayern Munich's 73rd season in existence and the club's the 9th consecutive season in the Basketball Bundesliga and the 2nd consecutive season in the EuroLeague. It is the third consecutive season under head coach Dejan Radonjić, who signed in April 2018.
