FIBA Basketball World Cup International basketball tournament

The FIBA Basketball World Cup, also known as the FIBA World Cup of Basketball or simply the FIBA World Cup, between 1950 and 2010 known as the FIBA World Championship, is an international basketball competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), the sport's global governing body. It is considered the flagship event of FIBA.

The Nigeria women's national basketball team, also known as D'Tigeress, represents Nigeria in international women's basketball competition, and are regulated by the Nigeria Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Nigeria. Nigeria has one of the most successful women's national teams on the African Continent, being the current African champions. They have won the Womens Afrobasket Championship consecutively for three times in a roll. They won in 2017 at Bamako, Mali, 2019 at Dakar, Senegal and in the year 2021 at Yaounder, Cameroun.

The FIBA Africa Basketball League was the highest caliber men's professional basketball competition for clubs until 2020, organized by the FIBA Africa and played by the champions of the leagues of the African countries. The league was replaced by the Basketball Africa League (BAL) from 2020.

South Africa national basketball team is the basketball team that represents South Africa in international competitions. The governing body of the team is Basketball South Africa.

APOEL B.C. Cypriot professional basketball club

APOEL Basketball Club, better known simply as APOEL, is a Cypriot professional basketball club based in the city of Nicosia. It is a part of the APOEL multi-sport club. APOEL is one of the most successful basketball clubs in Cyprus with an overall tally of 11 Championships, 12 Cups and 11 Super Cups.

FIBA International basketball governing body

The International Basketball Federation is an association of national organizations which governs the sport of basketball worldwide. Originally known as the Fédération Internationale de Basketball Amateur, in 1989 it dropped the word amateur from its name but retained the acronym.

The 2011 edition of the Women's Basketball Tournament of the African Games was the 10th, organized by FIBA Africa and played under the auspices of FIBA, the basketball sport governing body. The tournament was held from 9 to 17 September 2011 in Maputo, Mozambique, contested by 10 national teams and won by Nigeria.

The FIBA Africa Women's Clubs Champions Cup is the women's counterpart of the men's basketball competition FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup, therefore it is the main club competition for women's basketball in Africa. It is organized by the FIBA Africa and played by the champions of the leagues of the African countries.

C.D. Primeiro de Agosto (basketball)

Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto is an Angolan basketball team based in Luanda. The team is part of the multi-sports club with the same name. The club is attached to the Angolan Armed Forces which is its main sponsor. The club's men's and women's basketball teams compete at the local level at the Luanda Provincial Basketball Championship and at the Men's, and Women's domestic leagues as well as at continental level at the annual Africa Basketball League competitions.

G.D. Interclube (basketball)

Grupo Desportivo Interclube is an Angolan basketball club based in Luanda. It is part of the mutisports club with the same name. The club's basketball teams compete at the local level, at the Luanda Provincial Basketball Championships and at the Men's and Women's leagues as well as at continental level, at the annual African Basketball Club Champions League.

The FIBA Africa Under-18 Championship for Women is an under-18 basketball championship in the International Basketball Federation's FIBA Africa zone. The event started in 1996 and is held bi-annually. The winners compete in the FIBA Under-19 World Championship for Women.

The 2005 FIBA Africa Basketball Club Championship, was an international basketball tournament held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, from December 13 to 22, 2007. The tournament, organized by FIBA Africa and hosted by Abidjan Basket Club, was contested by 7 teams in a preliminary round robin system followed by a knockout stage by the top four teams.

The 2010 FIBA Africa Women's Clubs Champions Cup, was an international basketball tournament held in Bizerte, Tunisia, from November 19 to 27, 2010. The tournament, organized by FIBA Africa, and hosted by CSF Bizerte, was contested by 10 clubs split into 2 groups, the first four of which qualifying for the knock-out stage and the last four playing the consolation places.

The 2007 FIBA Africa Women's Clubs Champions Cup, was an international basketball tournament held in Maputo, Mozambique, from October 19 to 28, 2007. The tournament, organized by FIBA Africa and hosted by Clube Ferroviário de Maputo, was contested by 11 clubs split into 2 groups of 6, each group playing a round robin with the top four teams of each group qualifying for the knockout stages. This was Desp de Maputo's 1st title and Mozambique's 3rd.
