Bineta Diouf

Bineta Diouf (born 13 November 1978 in Rufisque, Dakar) is a Senegalese women's basketball player. A member of the Senegal women's national basketball team, Diouf competed with the squad at the 2000 Summer Olympics as well as later tournaments, including the 2008 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament. Dawn Staley American basketball player and coach

Dawn Michelle Staley is an American basketball Hall of Fame player and coach, who is currently the head coach for the South Carolina Gamecocks. Staley is a four-time Olympic gold medalist, winning three as a player and one as head coach. Staley was elected to carry the United States flag at the opening ceremony of the 2004 Summer Olympics. After playing point guard for the University of Virginia under Debbie Ryan, and winning the gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics, she went to play professionally in the American Basketball League and the WNBA. The St. John's Red Storm is the nickname used for the 16 varsity athletic programs of St. John's University, in the U.S. state of New York. St. John's 16 NCAA Division I teams compete in the Big East Conference, with the exception of the fencing team, which compete in the ECAC. On December 15, 2012, St. John's and the other six Catholic, non-FBS schools announced that they were departing the former Big East for a new conference. The "Catholic 7", after purchasing the "Big East" name from the FBS schools and adding Butler, Creighton, and Xavier, began operating as the new Big East Conference beginning in July 2013.

Lusia Harris American basketball player (1955–2022)

Lusia Harris was an American professional basketball player. Harris is considered to be one of the pioneers of women's basketball. She played for Delta State University and won three consecutive Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) National Championships, the predecessors to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championships, from 1975 to 1977. In international level, she represented the United States' national team and won the silver medal in the 1976 Olympic Games, the first women's basketball tournament in the Olympic Games. She played professional basketball with the Houston Angels of the Women's Professional Basketball League (WBL) and was the first and only woman ever officially drafted by the National Basketball Association (NBA), a men's professional basketball league. For her achievements, Harris was inducted to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.

The 2011 FIBA Africa Championship for Women was the 20th FIBA Africa Championship for Women, played under the auspices of the Fédération Internationale de Basketball, the basketball sport governing body, and the African zone thereof. At stake was the berth allocated to Africa in the 2012 Summer Olympics basketball tournament. The tournament was held from September 23–October 2 in Mali.

She also captured a silver medal in the same division at the 2009 World Taekwondo Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark, losing out to China's Hou Yuzhuo. Calabrese is a member of the taekwondo team for Centro Sportivo Esercito, and is coached and trained by Yoon Soon-Cheul. She is engaged to two-time Olympic medalist Mauro Sarmiento.

Shin Dong-pa is a South Korean basketball coach, sports commentator, and former basketball player who competed at the men's basketball tournaments at the 1964 Summer Olympics and the 1968 Summer Olympics. He was also a member of the senior South Korean national team that won the gold medal at the 1969 FIBA Asian Cup. He also played with South Korea at the 1970 FIBA World Championship, where he finished as that tournament's top scorer.
