Bayegan is a Turkish based petrochemicals company engaged in sourcing, sales, marketing and distribution. They operate in 120 countries across 5 continents.

The company offers a portfolio in polymers, [1] engineering polymers, [2] chemicals, plasticizers and specialty products.

The company’s Chairman is Ercument Bayegan. Burcu Olcay Ustuner is the CEO. [3]

Bayegan has a substantial foothold in the Turkish market as the biggest polymers and chemicals sourcing company in Turkiye.

It is involved in a major petrochemicals project to develop a polypropylene plant in Hatay on the south Mediterranean coast of Turkiye in order to reduce the country’s demands on imports. Bayegan was also linked to an earlier plan[ii] to set up a polypropylene plant in Turkiye jointly with Saudi Advanced Petrochemical.

Founded in 1965 as Hanwha Chemical, the company was rebranded as Hanwha Solutions in January 2020 when Hanwha Chemical merged with Hanwha Q Cells & Advanced Materials, which itself was formed out of a 2018 merger. The company added the Hanwha Galleria and Hanwha City Development real estate companies to its portfolio in April 2021. The Galleria division and the Advanced Materials division were spun off.
