Bear Grove Township is one of seventeen townships in Guthrie County, Iowa, United States. It is located WSW of Guthrie Center just west of Sutcliff Woodland. As of the 2010 census, its population was 160. [1]

The county was founded by European-American migrants from eastern areas in 1851. It was named in honor of Richard Montgomery, an American Revolutionary War general killed in 1775 while trying to capture Quebec City, Canada.
