Beata Harju (born in May, 1990) is a Finnish-born actress and filmmaker. Her most notable filmmaking credits include screenwriter and Mymble for Moomins on the Riviera (2014), based on Tove Jansson's comic strips, and assistant director for the 24-episode TV-series Tommys Supersoffa (2013). In 2011, Beata and her fellow filmmakers won Duran Duran’s worldwide Genero.TV competition, becoming the official music video of their single, "Safe: In the Heat of the Moment". She made her national theatre acting debut in 2012 as Honey in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Jane in August: Osage County at Svenska Teatern, the Swedish National Theatre, in Helsinki, Finland. In Moomins on the Riviera, Beata plays the Mymble in Finnish and Swedish, and the Ship's Cat and Maid in the British English version. [1]

Beata is an alumnus of Sarah Lawrence College and the Professional Performing Arts School in New York, as well as Aalto University School of Business in Helsinki, Finland. She received her MFA in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute Conservatory in 2019.

Little My Fictional character

Ida Helmi Tuulikki Pietilä was an American-born Finnish graphic artist and professor, born in Seattle, Washington, United States. Pietilä was one of the most influential people in Finnish graphic arts, and her work has been shown in numerous art exhibitions. She worked as a teacher in the Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki, for many years, and later trained graphic artists and wrote instructional books about graphic arts.

Moominvalley in November is the ninth and final book in the Moomin series by Finnish author Tove Jansson, and was first published in her native Swedish in 1970, and in English in 1971. Moomin is a comic strip created by Tove Jansson, and followed up by Lars Jansson, featuring their Moomin family of characters. <i>Moomin</i> (1990 TV series)

Moomin, also known as Tales from Moominvalley, is a Japanese-Dutch anime television series produced by Telecable Benelux B.V. and animated by Telescreen Japan. Based on the Moomin novels and comic strips by the Finnish illustrator and author Tove Jansson and her brother Lars Jansson, it was the third anime adaptation of the property and the first to receive distribution in other countries worldwide. Moomin first aired on TV Tokyo from April 12, 1990, to October 3, 1991. The series had also been dubbed into English and aired on CBBC in United Kingdom during the same year.

Kärt Tomingas is an Estonian stage, television, voice and film actress, singer, lecturer and acting and theatre pedagogue. Alma Pöysti is a Swedish-speaking Finnish film director and actor. She is the daughter of director Erik Pöysti and granddaughter of Finnish actors Lasse Pöysti and Birgitta Ulfsson. Pöysti has also lived and worked in Sweden.
