beekeeper is a Canadian indie rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Their debut album, BE KEPT, was released independently on September 15, 2010. [1] It was recorded (in part) and mixed by Colin Stewart (The New Pornographers, Dan Mangan, Kathryn Calder) at The Hive Creative Labs. [2] [3] The first single from the album was "Sudden Cuckoo" and charted on numerous Canadian college radio stations, reaching No. 102 overall. [4] The song has also been in rotation on CBC Radio 3. [5]

Since 2011, beekeeper has toured multiple times in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec, [6] and opened for such acts as Menomena, NoMeansNo, and The Heartbroken. [7]

In 2012, beekeeper released a single entitled "Take Me Back (To The Place)" on 7-inch vinyl. The vinyl also contains a B-side entitled "Bad Advice". [8]

The members of beekeeper also play with Hey Ocean, [9] Sidney York, [10] and Katie Rox. [11]

In June 2012, beekeeper was selected as one of the top 20 artists in British Columbia to participate in CKPK-FM's PEAK Performance Project. [12]

In February 2013, beekeeper released their third recording, entitled "Shout At People". [13]

Hedley is a Canadian pop rock group originating in Abbotsford, British Columbia, originally formed in 2003. They are named after the unincorporated community of Hedley, British Columbia, a name chosen after members heard that it was for sale for $346,000. After lead singer Jacob Hoggard placed third on the second season of Canadian Idol in 2004, the group signed with Universal Music Canada and released their self-titled debut studio album the following year. After signing an international recording contract with Capitol Records in 2006, which brought them an increased American following. Hot Shot is the fifth studio album released by Jamaican-American singer Shaggy. The album was first released on 8 August 2000, in the United States, before being issued in the United Kingdom on 5 February 2001, with a revised track listing. Hey Rosetta! Rock band

Hey Rosetta! is a Canadian seven-piece indie rock band from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador and led by singer/songwriter Tim Baker. Known for their energized live shows, the band created a large, layered sound by incorporating piano, violin, cello, and brass into the traditional four-piece rock setup. On October 13, 2017, the group announced via a lengthy Facebook post that they would be taking an indefinite hiatus.

The Zolas Canadian indie rock band

The Zolas are a Canadian indie rock band based in Vancouver, British Columbia and are signed to Light Organ Records. The band was formed by duo Zachary Gray (vocals/guitar) and Tom Dobrzanski, with various session musicians supporting them live and on record. The group has since expanded, adding Dwight Abell and Cody Hiles permanently to their lineup in 2015. In 2017, The Zolas received a Juno Award nomination for Group of the Year. Hey Ocean!

Hey Ocean! is a Canadian indie alternative rock and synthpop band formed in 2004 in Vancouver. David Beckingham and Ashleigh Ball had been friends since grade 6, joining with David Vertesi in the 2000s to form the band. The band consists of Ashleigh Ball (vocals/flute), David Beckingham (vocals/guitar), and David Vertesi (vocals/bass). Their music draws from many genres, including pop and acoustic, and the group tours Canada widely. They have performed locally alongside other Vancouver acts such as Shad K, Mother Mother and Said the Whale.
