Beenleigh Logan Cutters District Cricket Club is a cricket club in Beenleigh, Queensland, and City of Logan, Australia. They are also known as the Cutters and play in the Brisbane Grade Cricket competition. They were founded in 1960. [1] [2] [3] [4] For the start of the 2012/2013 season the Beeleigh Logan Cutters moved to Ipswich and became the Ipswich Logan Hornets.
The Logan River is a perennial river in the Scenic Rim, Logan and Gold Coast local government areas of the South East region of Queensland, Australia. Logan Lightning FC is a semi-professional football (soccer) club based in Shailer Park, a suburb of Logan City, Queensland, Australia. The club's history commenced in 1979, the year of establishment for both the Beenleigh and Loganholme soccer clubs which merged in late 2011 to form the current club. The club currently competes in the Football Queensland Premier League 1 competition. In May 2017, Football Queensland announced Logan Lightning FC were among the 14 clubs accepted to form the Football Queensland Premier League for its initial season in 2018. In November 2020, Logan Lightning FC were crowned Champions and Grand Final winners of the Football Queensland Premier League, guaranteeing promotion for the club to play their 2021 season in the National Premier League Queensland for the first time in club history.
Springfield railway line is a 13.6 km (8.5 mi) suburban railway line in Brisbane, Australia that branches from the Ipswich/Rosewood line after Darra railway station. Construction of the line started on 5 July 2010, and it opened on 2 December 2013. The line was developed along with the widening of the nearby Centenary Motorway.
The South Coast railway line was a railway from Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland, Australia. The route via the South Coast to Tweed Heads on the border of Queensland and New South Wales. The line operated from 1889 to 1964. Between 1903 and 1961 steam trains ran from Beenleigh to the NSW border. The Gold Coast railway line re-opened in 1996 along a modified alignment in the north and a new route south but does not extend as far south yet as the South Coast line.
