The Beinamar Faunal Reserve covers an area of 7650 km2. It was proposed to be set up by the local people in view of its rare wildlife species. [1] [2]

Dja Faunal Reserve reserve in Cameroon

Dja Faunal Reserve, located in south eastern Cameroon, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site inscribed in 1987. Causes of inscription include diversity of species present in the park, the presence of five threatened species of mammal, and lack of disturbance within the park. It is managed by Dja Conservation Services (DCS), which is led by a conservator. The Reserve receives significant support for its management from many projects funded by international partners and supporters of conservation in Cameroon.

Wildlife of Vietnam

The wildlife of Vietnam is rich in flora and fauna as reflected by its unique biodiversity. Rare and endemic antelope-like animal, categorized under the bovine subfamily, was found in 1992, in Bạch Mã National Park. In the 1990s, three other large mammal species, the deer-like Truong Son muntjac, giant muntjac and Pu Hoat muntjac, were also discovered, the first two in the same park. Conservation protection and scientific studies of the ecology of Vietnam, particularly in the protected forest areas, have been given priority attention by the Government of Vietnam. Wildlife of Chad

The wildlife of Chad is composed of its flora and fauna. Animal and plant life correspond to the three climatic zones. In the Saharan region, the only flora is the date-palm groves of the oasis. Palms and acacia trees grow in the Sahelian region. The southern, or Sudanic, zone consists of broad grasslands or prairies suitable for grazing. As of 2002, there were at least 134 species of mammals, 532 species of birds, and over 1,600 species of plants throughout the country.

Termit Massif Reserve

The Termit Massif Total Reserve is a nature reserve in the southeast of Niger which was established in January 1962. In March 2012, a national nature and cultural reserve was established covering an area of 100,000 square kilometres (39,000 sq mi), including the entire area of the Termit Massif and Tin Toumma desert, making it the largest single protected area in Africa. The area provides habitat for many critically endangered species. Prominent among them is the addax antelope, which is categorized under the IUCN Red List as one of the rarest and most endangered species in the world; about 300 of them are reported in the reserve. A conservation effort has been launched by the Government of Niger in collaboration with many international conservation agencies. The reserve has also been declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site for the biodiversity value of the Termit Massif and surrounding Sahara Desert and for the cultural value of its archaeological sites.

Zemongo Faunal Reserve

Zemongo Faunal Reserve is a protected reserve of the Central African Republic. Established in 1925, it was extended and redesignated in 1975, although still open to hunting in 1980. The main rivers are the Vovado River and the Goangoa River, covering an area of 10,100 square kilometres (3,900 sq mi), of which 1,720 square kilometres (660 sq mi) is inundated forest.The reserve contains dense Isoberlinia savanna woodland and gallery forests and supports eastern chimpanzees and other primate species. The reserve formerly held a large elephant population and a diverse antelope community.

Binder-Léré Faunal Reserve faunal reserve

The Binder-Léré Faunal Reserve, in south-west Chad, bordering Cameroon, was established in 1974 covering an area of 1,350 kilometres (838.85 mi). It has been designated as a Ramsar site since 2005.

Ouadi Rimé-Ouadi Achim Faunal Reserve protected area in Chad, Africa

The Ouadi Rimé-Ouadi Achim Faunal Reserve, is located in the Batha administrative region in the center of Chad. It an IUCN Category IV area, which was established in 1969. At 77,950 kilometres (48,435.88 mi) –equivalent to the size of Scotland- it is one of the largest reserves in the world.

Fada Archei Faunal Reserve faunal reserve

The Fada Archei Faunal Reserve is located in the north-eastern region of the Chad in its Ennedi Administration region. It was established in 1967 covering an area of 2,110 kilometres (1,311.09 mi) with a terrain in the elevation range of 500–1,000 metres (1,600–3,300 ft). Its primary aim was to protect Ammotragus lervia. It is considered as a Depauperate ecosystem with vegetation of mostly Acacia and Balanites on the banks of the wadis.

Wildlife of Ukraine

Wildlife of Ukraine includes its diverse fauna and flora. The reported fauna includes forty-five thousand species including the areas of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. Protected areas consist of 33 Ramsar sites covering an area of 7,446.51 square kilometres (2,875.11 sq mi). Biosphere nature reserves and three national parks are all part of the GEF projects portfolio of conservation of biodiversity in the Danube Delta. Their vegetation pattern is Mixed Forest area, Forest-Steppe area, Steppe area, Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains and Crimean Mountains. Some of the protected areas which were reserves or parks are subsumed under the biosphere reserves.

The Mandelia Faunal Reserve in Chad was declared a reserve in 1969 covering an area of 1380 km2

The Larmanaye Faunal Reserve has an area of 3040 km2 as it supports rare wildlife species It had been proposed initially by the local people as a total reserve to cover an area 882 km2.

The Siniaka-Minia Faunal Reserve was established as an IUCN Category IV area in 1965 covering an area of 4,260 km2 (1,640 sq mi), due its importance for preserving black rhinoceros.
