The Belgian Bowl XIV was played on June 3, 2001 and was won by the Izeghem Redskins. 700 people attended the final in the stadium of RC Gent. [1] [2]

In American football, the Belgian Bowl is the championship game of the Belgian Football League (BFL). At the end of each regular season, three teams from each conference play in the BFL playoffs, a six-team single-elimination tournament that culminates with the Belgian Bowl.

The West Flanders Tribes was a Belgian American football team based in the province of West-Flanders, with two home cities, Ostend and Izegem. The Tribes were members of the Flemish American Football League (FFL) conference in the Belgian Football League (BFL). Their team colours are maroon, white and black. In 2012, the team split up into the Ostend Pirates and the Izegem Tribes.
