Belinda Todd is a New Zealand-born television broadcaster who rose to fame as a presenter on Nightline.

She grew up in Christchurch, and had ambitions to become a doctor. [1] She joined the new TV3 network when it launched in 1989 as a weather presenter, and shortly after became known for her off-the-cuff contributions as co-presenter on Nightline. [2]

She also was in Melody Rules, a short-lived sitcom that was critically panned. [3]

In 1994, she left TV3 and subsequently worked for independent production company Communicado for 7 years. She departed New Zealand for Los Angeles in 2003, and has lived there since, working in several roles including production and freelance screenwriting. [4]

She participated in the 20th anniversary episode of Nightline in 2010. [5] [6]

Nightline is a New Zealand late night news programme that premiered on TV3 on 12 February 1990. Its final host was Sacha McNeil, and Nightline ceased to air in December 2013, replaced by controversial broadcaster Paul Henry's new programme The Paul Henry Show in early 2014, and then in 2015 by a new late night news bulletin programme called Newsworthy with Samantha Hayes and David Farrier at the desk. This was replaced in 2016 by Newshub Late.

Joanna Paul-Robie is a New Zealand news presenter and producer. She grew up in Hamilton, and made her screen acting debut in 1978. She started in broadcasting as a trainee programme director with Radio New Zealand in the 1980s, while also participating in "behind the camera" film roles. She made her television presenting debut with TVNZ's Wildtrack in 1989, but was soon recruited to be the breakfast newsreader on the new TV3 channel. Six months later, she took over presenting the evening news from Philip Sherry, as well as TV3 programme Nightline from 1990 to 1992.
