Belknap is a village within the city of Johnston in Rhode Island.
On April 18, 1759, the citizens of Johnston held the first Town Meeting at Benjamin Belknap's house on Greenville Avenue in Belknap, and Abraham Belknap was appointed as the town's first Town Sergeant at the meeting. In 1771 the Baptist Meeting House in Belknap opened, and is believed to be the first place of worship in Johnston. In 1790 the Belknap School the first school in Johnston was founded. [1]

The Federal Street Church was a congregational Unitarian church in Boston, Massachusetts. Organized in 1727, the originally Presbyterian congregation changed in 1786 to "Congregationalism", then adopted the liberal theology of its fifth Senior Minister, William Ellery Channing, (1780–1842). For most of the 18th century the church was known as the Long Lane Meeting-House. In 1788, state leaders met in the relatively spacious building to determine Massachusetts' ratification of the United States Constitution. Thereafter the church renamed itself the Federal Street Church in honor of the event. In 1803, it called William Ellery Channing, (1780–1842), as its minister who defined "Unitarian Christianity" and launched the Unitarian movement, making the Federal Street Church one of the first to define itself as Unitarian.

Belknap Mountain State Forest is a 1,300-acre (530 ha) state forest in central New Hampshire within the Belknap Mountains. The forest contains the summit and surrounding slopes of 2,382-foot (726 m) Belknap Mountain, the highest point in Belknap County, as well as lands to the east extending to Round Pond. The forest is bordered to the north by Gunstock Mountain and Gunstock Mountain Resort, a downhill ski area. A lookout tower is at the top of Belknap Mountain, and there is an extensive trail network in the forest.
