Ben Abraham is an Australian soccer referee. He was the referee for the 2023 Australia Cup final and has been officiating in the A-League Men since 2019.
Hailing from New South Wales, Abraham initially served as a fourth official in A-League Men and as a referee for FFA Cup matches in 2017. [1] [2] He joined the A-League referees panel in August 2019 for the first time, [3] and refereed his first professional match between Melbourne City and Wellington Phoenix on 3 November 2019. [4] Abraham was openly criticised by Louis Fenton and Phoenix coach Ufuk Talay for a controversial penalty call that gave City a 3–1 lead. The match ended in a 3–2 victory for Melbourne City. [5] [6]
Abraham was appointed referee for the 2023 Australia Cup final between Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar. It would be his first and final time officiating an Australia Cup final. [7]

Marko Ante "Mark" Rudan is an Australian soccer manager and former player. He is currently the head coach for A-League Men club Western Sydney Wanderers.
Mark Shield is a former Australian soccer referee who officiated in the top tier of Australian soccer between 1995 and 2005. Shield was FIFA listed between 1999 and 2008, and was in control of matches at the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cup finals. He refereed the finals of the 2006 AFC Champions League and the 2007 AFC Asian Cup. After retiring, served as national director of referees.
A-League Women, formerly the W-League, is the top-division women's soccer league in Australia. The W-League was established in 2008 by Football Australia and was originally composed of eight teams of which seven had an affiliation with an existing A-League Men's club. As of the 2022–23 season, the league is contested by eleven teams. The league, as well as the A-League Men and A-League Youth are administered by the Australian Professional Leagues.
Strebre Delovski is a retired Australian soccer referee in the A-League. He previously officiated in the Illawarra Premier League and during the A-League off-season has been refereeing in the NSW Premier League competition. In 2005 and 2007 he was named NSW Premier League Referee of the Year.
Kris Griffiths-Jones is an Australian football referee who currently officiates in the Hyundai A-League and the NSW Premier League. He made his A-League debut in the 2008-09 A-League season. He began his refereeing career with GDFRA, in the Western Suburbs of Sydney.
Jarred Gavan Gillett is an Australian football referee in the Premier League, following the announcement on 3 August 2021 that he had been promoted to the Select Group referees list.
The 2012–13 A-League was the 36th season of top-flight soccer in Australia, and the eighth season of the Australian A-League since its establishment in 2004. The 2012–13 season saw the introduction of a new Western Sydney-based team, the return of Newcastle Jets FC after their A-League licence was returned by FFA, and the end of Gold Coast United after they were removed from the competition at the end of the previous season. This season was also the last A-League season to be broadcast exclusively on paid television, after SBS obtained the rights to a live Friday night game each week of the A-League season, and all A-League finals games on a one-hour delay, on a $160 million four-year broadcast deal, effective from the 2013–14 A-League season onwards.

Brisbane Roar were both the defending A-League Premiers and Champions. The regular season commenced on 10 October 2014 and concluded on 26 April 2015. The 2015 Grand Final took place on 17 May 2015. The season was suspended from 9–24 January in order to avoid a clash with the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, which was hosted by Australia.
